This is where a certain level of creativity with the notion of conversion is required.

I’ve been watching Always Sunny in Philadelphia backwards. And the story actually works that way!

I started with season 12 and am working back. Now on season 6. I think it works because there is really no plot like Seinfeld.

The charity I walked for (and some of you kindly sponsored!) have asked me if I would be prepared to speak at an event they are putting on about recovery from abusive relationships.

I'm about to go on holiday so have said I'll discuss when I come back. It's in this thread because I'm beyond honoured to be asked, but I'm honestly not sure. Aside from the fact I've never been a good public speaker (I don't like being the focus of attention in a space - and it doesn't come a great deal more direct than standing in a room delivering a talk), I just honestly don't know what I'd say and feels like a lot of responsibility with such a tricky, highly personal subject.

Still, wonderful thing to be asked to do!

Awesome day

I picked up a iPhone 11 promax .. fun toy. I have always had a very anti leading front edge of this type of product cause you know spying. ( remember soon they will link your debit card and your phone so you go drink a few and your phone is in drive mode it will ping a police car to pull you over.. 2 years outish. The dangers of spying ! Pay cash )

But whatever modern tech rocks !

And I found out in a very remarkable week that my company will sponsor me for my green belt lean six sigma. If I pass they will pay for ANY cert in this pathway including the quality engineer one etc etc . Kinda crazy how corners are turned. I took the challenge.. but it makes for a huge 1-2 year project.

I got dropped off the project and oh my god it’s a behemoth. /gulps

Why not suggest to the organisers of the event that you make it more of a discussion rather than just you talking? For example it could be you being "interviewed" for want of a better term by one of the staff about your experiences. You could prepare the answers beforehand rather than doing an actual talk...

Oh cool. Congrats on finally having your bris -- it's unusual at your age, but c'est la vie! What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas.

Thanks. I'm not usually one to brag, but apparently it's not everyone who needs 8 mohels and 5 litres of local anaesthetic. (And 10 shots of vodka)

;) :o

First game of indoor season. Started with no subs, played second half a man down against a team with almost 3 full lines.

Won 5:1. Felt like I was in good enough shape to run another game.
Mind, the team we played was pretty terrible (the score, and the fact that I scored a goal- which is something that happens like once in a few years), but it was still a good feeling.

Later in the day my trivia team totally bombed out pub quiz tho, so the cosmic balance was restored, :D

You just loop it like an 'O', but leave a little gap on the right.
Yesterday, upon the stair, I saw a man who wasn't there. He wasn't there again today. Oh, how I wish he'd go away.
