I bought a dozen. Like, they literally came in a little egg carton.
They came with white hands and left with red hands.

Wow, Spring is here. Highs in the 70s yesterday and going to be like that through the weekend. Neighbors were watering their lawns. Damn, I better follow suit.

Damn, it's been 20 years or more since that phrase last made me happy. The massive mumbling, meandering shitpiles that were No Code and Yield left me cold and nothing they've done since has ever interested me.

Sorry for the buzzkill, I hope you like it though.

Dad's place was only about 100m away from the fires in Tathra NSW, but unlike 70 other houses thankfully they had no damage. They're back in there as of today after being evacuated on the weekend, counting their blessings.

I checked the fire map and it really went all over the place. Ember spot fires took out some places yet left everything else around untouched.

mmm mmmm! Guys, have you ever had salsa so good you could eat it just by itself? Well, I have. Man o man! So here's the story:

So went to the monthly lunch bunch with work colleagues today and we decided on this Mexican restaurant we haven't been to yet. They bring out this salsa with chips you can nibble on while you wait for your main order. Guys, this salsa was right out the pages of culinary legends or something. It was a green salsa and had the perfect (and I mean perfect) balance of cilantro, garlic, onion, and chili peppers. With the right amount of heat. Such a zip and pop to it, you could just inhale the stuff by itself. I'd like to know the recipe, but I'm sure they would never reveal it. Have you guys ever had a similar experience with salsa or something similar (where you just wanted to eat it by itself?)

To add to the culinary delight: I have managed to make pizza dough. My quest for the perfect premade pizza dough can go die in a corner now, it's gonna be homemade from now on. Although the dough tried to escape me in the hour while I was away grocery shopping by popping off the lid of i's tupperware and trying to climb out and down the kitchen counter.

Thanks for the link, just wish there was no need for an account to see that. I will be experimenting with pizza dough, though, for some reson I had thought it would be much more complicated.

Making me happy is that I've found a good permanent dark purple hair dye. Who'd have thought I'd go right back to my teenage hair colour at the first opportunity.. :p

I've been hearing good things about the chocolate filled ones...tempted...
They came with white hands and left with red hands.

I have British chocolate eggs due to a cousin of my SO visiting. They have no corn syrup in them and each person who has eaten them says they're better than the American version. One left now.
