Exciting news! My president and commander in Thief seems to finally e on the way out of power. His own political party has demanded he resign. Naturally he has refused but it seems likely his own party will finally join with the opposition to vote him out of office on his soon to be 9th vote of no confidence. His exit is long overdue and I'm pretty excited. Wont fix my country overnight, in fact the damage may already be done, but its a start.

The police and national prosecutor already seem to be making rapid progress in several corruption cases seemingly overnight. After years of apparently being unable to even confirm if the sky is blue they are apparently just miraculously finding and acting on evidence. So that's a pretty strong indication of the power shift right there.

My father's surgery went well. He is back home, and quite fine, though extremely grumpy as he is on a soft diet and can't talk much.

Just had a job interview. Wish me luck, y'all, I want that job. Though it was only the first round of interviews and they're probably interviewing something like twenty people, but damn, that job would be awesome.

My president wont resign. Claims he is not aware why suddenly everyone wants him gone. Motion of no confidence tomorrow. I hope his forced exit is as embarrassing for him as possible.

My president has been kicked to the curb and miracle of miracle his close associates in crime have suddenly been arrested. I feel optimistic about SA for the first time in a long while. So much more needs to be done but hopefully this is actually a good sign.

Making me fairly happy is the fact that after about 2,5 months of me diligently going through weekly suggestion lists, Spotify can now generate decent mixes for me to listen to at work. I'm pleased with this development. 80s and 90s soft rock hits all day long without having to make a Playlist myself.

Lucky! Last time I had to do jury duty, I made that call only to receive a message that I still had to appear. I go in the next morning and sit in a crowded room for two hours to find out that they filled the spots and we can all go home.
