Have fun! Nice is lovely! Also, fun fact, the streets are purposely designed to work like an natural air conditioner...the layout is set to maximize any breeze apparently.

Also, hop on the train and head 13klicks west (could be east, there will be signs) and hit up Monaco and Monte Carlo, and pretend to be James Bond! Also, free advice, you can hike up the side of Monaco to see the top (instead of the long way round on the road)...it's a brisk, but invigorating switchback trail.

Cool. My first proper holiday with my wife (then girlfriend) was to Nice. It is a great destination. Enjoy! There are some lovely eating places in the side streets higher up in town if you want to avoid the holiday crowds near the seafront and overblown tourist prices.

Yesterday, upon the stair, I saw a man who wasn't there. He wasn't there again today. Oh, how I wish he'd go away.

Tourist maps show the multiple staircases you can take in Monaco to climb all the way up. They're pretty much a different set of streets.

There's also pretty cheap boat tours from Nice to Monaco that take you along the Cote d'Azure, and then drop you off in Monaco for like 8 hours to do whatever you want. It's an awesome city as long as you like hiking up and down hills.

It's east out of nice to Monaco.

If you are training it jump of for lunch at Ville France, a few scenes from. The film Ronin were shot there and it's a beautiful little town.

Go to Monaco and land down the marina and stare at the giant yachts

If you take the boat, they'll actually sail you out to show off the biggest yachts.

We got to sail around Abramovich's old yacht (he sold that one a few years back). It's kinda ridiculous.

And the really big ones aren't parked in the harbors- they're anchored off-shore, and you need to be high up on Monaco's escarpments to see them well.
