Going to have a shower and then put on new pajamas before enjoying one of the greatest feelings in the word - new sheets (and quilt cover, pillow cases, woven blanket throw thing idk). 😍

OK this just made me laugh out loud. A couple of the jokes won't translate, but most will.

Have You Been paying Attention is a quiz/comedy show where a panel of a few regulars and occasional guests (mostly comedians) answer questions based on recent news. I always manage to get at the very least a few good laughs out of every episode.

HYBPA is literally the only non-ABC free tv show that I watch. It's brilliant. 😃

Tolkien, the illustrated encyclopedia arrived today.
it was 1p (with £2.80 postage) on amazon used. It makes me happy because it's arrived and just flicking through it is bringing back so many memories of LotR and the silmarion.
but its slightly disappointing. the illustrations are wildly varying in quality and a lot are in the blocky modern style that I dislike. I was hoping for more beautiful pictures like my copy of LotR has.
oh well, still an excellent arrival.
now all i need is my new tablet to arrive, tracking says it left manchester at midnight, but won't be here till wednesday?
which means I won't see it till friday.

caught up on sleep after 3 exhausting evenings with not enough rest.
And no work I had to take home this weekend. I am looking forward to a lot of blissful laziness.

Me and Arrow the kite - my favourite, beautiful boy! What the picture doesn't convey is his never-ending fascination with pulling both the zip on my fleece and my scarf. He chitters away like an angry teenager if you move him out of reach as well

I feel like he's looking at your eyes with an awfully hungry expression.
That thing could probably kill me in five seconds. Beautiful bird though.

I am incredibly happy because in the space of only fifteen months, we have added another 1000 !!!!!! pages to the Wiki. Not only that, but the German version, thanks to the incredible efforts of Coltaine, has simultaneously reached page number 1000 !!!!!
For all the statistics check out:
Malazan Wiki 4000
German Wiki 1000
It would be great if you took a look and signed the guest book/Gästebuch
Hope you agree that we have come a long way

Well, you say that - I mean, he'd make a mess for sure, and if he hit something vital then yes you could bleed to death - but of any of the birds in the centre I'd much rather he bit me than any of the others - kites are scavengers and the biggest part of their diet is made up of carrion. The beak looks evil but isn't actually all that powerful - they can't break into bigger carcasses (deer, sheep etc) by themselves and only feed of those if something like a fox has already broken into the carcass. Live prey they're limited to really small mammals (rodents, mostly) and things like beetles. So, as our birds go, Arrow's a softy

Egwene - that's awesome news, well done to you all!

That massive eagle was more likely to rip a person to shreds... He was eyeing my jugular up in a fairly disconcerting fashion...

I love birds of prey. Such majestic creatures. Was lucky enough to get to photograph a bald eagle at a camera training workshop a couple of months ago. Now that's a big bird!! to feel the power of the wing strokes as it came in to land was amazing.
