I always thought that I would bemoan reaching the stage where Matador and I were comfortable with wearing matching clothing.

Turns out I was wrong since I just bought these matching faux-leather jackets because of course I did!

For the first time ever, after being stuck with 23 for ever, the Wiki has reached number

22

in the chart of all of the book Wikis on Wikia!!!!!

http://www.wikia.com...hPhrase=malazan

I am certain that the blame for that has to be squarely put at ArchieVist's feet who has added about 150 new pages in something like a week :(

The Harry Potter Wikis had better watch out - we are on their heels (well, almost) *grin*

I think motherly "me time" is meant to involve a spa, shopping or haircut. Mine is a kebab and a movie. Ahhhhhhh. If only I didn't have to drive I could have got boozed up too.

Enjoy!

Mine usually involves playing Mass Effect or Dragon Age.

My prints have arrived. Proper quality, too. The ones they sent me first were on shitty paper. Too much stress for my liking but now all's good. Shall post pics later if I remember.

Thank god for that Puck. Have a good weekend!

Baby PigDog is 6 months old today. That's gone fast and I think I'm coping quite well with the complete loss of independent identity and zero family members or friends nearby to help!

Elbow update: got a new, tighter-fitting cast and an actual arm slingto add to my collection of trauma-related paraphernalia. With the new cast, the forearm muscles no longer feel all squished sideways.

I was told to use my hand/fingers and shoulder as much as possible, and to raise my arm overhead. Basically, short of lifting weights, any movement i can get out of it is fair game. with the new cast I can grip and move a mouse reasonably well, so hey, more progress! I'll be able to work on Mon!

seeing the ortho again on Thur, if all goes well (i.e, CT shows no fracture and the elbow doesn't pop out again), they may give me a soft cast or smth.

So, overall, decently okay aftermath for such an unpleasant injury

That is nice to hear. I just saw your post in the Groove thread. Dislocations are shitty. I have done it to my knee twice, once while playing cricket.

Has it swelled up a lot?

You get shoved while headed a different direction than the shove?

Fifteen years ago, I broke both bones in my left forearm when I got shoved just as I launched a cross with my left foot. Due to the timing of the shove, I couldn't fold my hand under me and I ended up landing on top of it. The break ended up being a clean snap through both the radius and ulna. I got up and played the rest of the game and nearly scored too (hit the post). After the game, my forearm was the size of my bicep and getting bigger.

I suggest that you get a chopstick to scratch within the cast. And figure out how to keep the sweat stink down.

I wish. really dumb fall, basically over-extended to poke away the ball in the middle of the field, fell backwards, and landed on the outstretched hand, leading to a clean backwards pop.

if this was smth that happened to me before as a kid, I'd probably try to pop it back in. But since it was my first time, I knda froze, b/c unsure what to do.
The pain was so-so. it was all the weird spasming that the nerves in my arm started doing that was freaking me out. basicallly once teh paramedics got there and told me I can clench my hand to make it match what I felt it already did on its own, I felt like 40% better right away. Still had pain but it was like a 4/10, with jolts to 6 when it was moved, which is totally survivable. Basically once i got used to the idea that it wasn't gonna fall off or smth, i could lift it with my other arm and move wherever the X ray techs told me to.

Maybe this will make you ease up on being a defensive maniac for no good reason. Glad there was no nerve or vessel damage. Here's to a quick heal.
