Ireland beat the All Blacks (new Zealand) in Rugby for the first time ever. That's 111 years. Which is a level of futility that exceeded even that of the Chicago Cubs.

I was watching a replay of the game and i still can't believe we managed to hold out. Amazing result.

I really want to see the game! It sounds like it was really top class rugby, which I've come to expect from Ireland despite the epic losing streak.

The New Zealand comeback was quite terrifying as an Irish fan. One minute we had a really comfortable lead, and then Johnny Sexton made a tactical mistake, the momentum shifted, and New Zealand are running in tries as easy as you like.

The fact that Ireland were able to regain their composure and hold out for the win is amazing to me, especially considering how often before we've run them close, but inevitably fallen at the end. To be finishing the stronger was weird.

There'll be plenty of celebrating in Chicago tonight, you can be sure of that.

Congrats Ireland! :)

And 12 penalties to 4?! Obviously the ref missed the memo about All Blacks being a protected species. :p

Yes, definitely, fellow rugbo fans. It is the sport I also love to watch and cheer the teams. We did it!

Ha, for me seeing a picture of a forum member is like seeing the casting choice for a character out of a novel.

Every night I put my boy to bed I wish he could stay as he is. He's four and he's adorable in every way possible.

So that's the story. And what was the real lesson? Don't leave things in the fridge.

I'm so sad.
