Anyhow, the job is excellent, the cleanest machine shop I have ever seen, by a country mile.
I actually done a double take, I thought it was a lab. Then I was like "hang on, you've got bloody Cnc milling machines in here!!"
Haha.
All composite mould manufacture. The place makes a loss every year, in fact they run out of money every year.
It doesn't matter, it's just a play thing for the Red Bull guy. This fact alone has still got me reeling. When you see the levels of investment in tooling, equipment and plant, you can't accept it as a business model. Then you realise it's not a business. It's some very rich guys hobby.

Wow.

And you passed up living in squalor in Bedford for this????

I did. They may be time yet for living in squalor in Bedford yet.

Don't out your job in jeopardy by posting stuff you are not supposed to. Much as I am curious, too, don't mess up potential future jobs. Once the cat is out of the bag as they say... In the meantime, enjoy the toyshop :p I am quite envious - I am a crafter and the idea of a room full of all the best tools... aahhhhh.... not sure the green on my face is going to wash off!

Not quite finished filling them, clearly, but we finally have bookcases! :p it's been a long time. I am also rather enjoying that Malazan, Robin Hobb and Dresden all virtually need their own shelf (and those units aren't small either).

Happy TRB is purring contentedly ^_^

Lovely stuff. (I see those Potter books on the bottom left!)

I'd have to rearrange that top shelf though, that blue one just looks wrong!

Is that your map on the wall?

They look a bit like mine, probably due to having most of the same books - although Hobb didn't make the cut, and I have a nice Black Company set. And most of my Dresdens are on kindle.

So that's the story. And what was the real lesson? Don't leave things in the fridge.

That.... that is so beautiful!

I would kill to have a bookcase like this.

Unfortunately then I would have to kill again to have enough room to put it in

You're right - the blue one is the Tolkien bestiary and it needs to move to the end. It's a work in progress but we had visitors yesterday so I had to keep surreptitiously moving the odd book when nobody was watching instead of going full on sorting mode!

Yup, HP is still there. I read them when I was the same age as the characters, so I have an enduring soft spot. ASOIAF didn't make it - no point having books I won't read again in there (my WoT set has long been given away for the same reason). I need to start Black Company too.... will need more bookcases.

Yep, that's the finished Skyrim map ^_^

Andorion - we fell exceptionally lucky with the house. It's upside down and the upstairs is an open plan living area/kitchen. We just happened to have an empty back wall to put them on, but since we've been in since October 2014 it's massively exciting to finally have books out of boxes!

In Germany they have packs of sliced cheese with 3 kinds of cheese in it. And single slices are big enough for whole bread nad twice as thick as they're here, actually I spent a few mins trying to separate two slices before I realized it's only one slice. And they're not even coloured nor contain any other additional stuff, and are fecking tasty. Plus they're even cheaper than those cheese-like things we have here(they're mostly not bad, this just surprised me).

humph, I think I have problem with firewall, it seemingly blocks random stuff that's allowed to get through, re-allowing sometimes help, turning it off sometimes help, but not always. Had problem with connecting to teasmspeak and one local gaming client for CoD2 a couple of times, now, for the second time, firewall seemingly blocks my browser. Amusingly enough this website works perfectly. It hasn't occured before last update of OS(Win10).

I think Icarium's new warrens got something to do with this, I have no better expplanation

edit: nah firefox ain't working either
edit2: wiki works aswell, but only Malazan one
edit3:actually net didn't work in house at all, yet this and malazwiki still worked
Apparrently it's router problem cause restarting it helped. Which doesn't provide any better explanations than ^.
I don't know whether the teamspeak and client problem is related to this or not tho.

Well, the other guy didn't accept the position. Which means it was just officially offered to me. And the offer is excellent.

So, I bought an excellent bottle of red wine and a nice steak. It's a good night :hrhr:
