Well, the other guy didn't accept the position. Which means it was just officially offered to me. And the offer is excellent.

So, I bought an excellent bottle of red wine and a nice steak. It's a good night :hrhr:

Woo hoo! Congratulations! And I would kill for that dinner right now.

Thank you. It is fantastic and terrifying.

When the terror grips you, grip it back and throw it through a table.

I have practiced jujitsu for four whole months.

I shall call you Morgief.

And it's time you snatched that job with your terrible neon claws!

Ours took a month or so all told last year but is soooo pretty, I totally agree about getting excited

Only downside is occasionally having to oil the oak worksurfaces.

Album I've been looking forward to slated for release April 6th. Also had some more CDs drop through the post today, so it's all looking good.

Pfeh. I collect CDs, me. I only go for an MP3 purchase if there's no way to obtain the CD. There's just something about having the physical article in your hand.

I still do the same!

EDIT: Just found out Springsteen is bringing The River tour to the UK. I sense another Dad and Daughter trip to Manchester coming on! :hrhr:

Cancelled plans. It's a shame not to see the friend in question because she's not around often - but it means I get to spend a rainy day indoors map making :hrhr:

Also, Maark deserves a medal. He's been the soul of patience with me bombarding him with questions all morning!

I'll take the medal, but my job mainly involves me talking people through legal documents all day so a few questions were easy in comparison! And yeah it's sick and I can't wait for other people to see it in the summer.

Also, I found Sheffield Comicon is a month on after my book launches. Might see if the publisher has anything going on for it.

I met Ann Leckie on Friday and had dinner with her, some co-workers and a Norwegian sci-fi writer. It was AWESOME! Also got my copy of Ancillary Justice signed Posted Image

Also, my newest drawing seems to be well-received, which is a huge relief, since I haven't drawn anything in ages and was afraid I had forgotten everything I'd learned so far :hrhr:
