Life is pretty peachy right now. I've been jobless for 7 working days, cutting down trees in the garden and chopping firewood (I have my first ever axe (and a file for sharpening it which I've been doing while I watch TV)!) and seeing friends. Tomorrow I'm making chutney and demolishing ugly fitted wardrobes and on Friday I'm going to Munich for a few days. It's all rather dull (apart from Munich) but I'm terribly contented - Mr PigDog has even accused me of being "nice".

Thought you were gonna say "It's all rather dull (apart from the axe)"! Have fun chopping the hell out of stuff.
What's making me happy: Male Novelist Jokes.

Q: How many male novelists does it take to screw in a lightbulb?
A: He lit a cigarette. His glass of whiskey lit a cigarette too. “I can only truly love my best friend,” he said, “but not in a gay way. Women wouldn’t understand it. They’re too gay.” Both of the cigarettes agreed.
Q: How many male novelists does it take to screw in a lightbulb?
A: The beast, which had represented his feelings, was dead. “I think I’ll do a pushup,” he announced to the sea. The sea respected him for it.

If you're there on Sunday and it's your thing, some of the major art museums let you in for a euro on Sunday iirc. Depends how nice a day it is too.

Wife is out of the hospital and the little man is starting to eat on his own rather than via tube, he's still in the NICU but hopefully we'll get to bring him home early next week.

Ukrainian president Viktor Yanukovych (twice convicted) was declared "missing" by Russian State TV. As per his own site, on Saturday he planned an urgent visit to Russia for Sunday.
The plane left Kyyiv, never arrived in Russia. Ukrainian president is "missing"
All Uki Internet comments about this can be roughly split into two categories
Category 1: "He's missing? Thank God! Good riddance!"
Category 2: (@ Category 1) "Shut the **** up! You'll jinx it, and he'll turn up!"
Reading such comments is making me happy.

New underwear, from Hong Kong! My mum just came back from a trip. Don't know why the underwear in Canada is so expensive yet crappy. It's all made in China anyways. Whenever family goes back to Hong Kong and they ask me if I want them to bring anything back, I tell them to go to the street market and pick up some cotton panties for me. I'm restocked for the next 2-3 years.
Also, I cleaned my desk. Clean desk = uncluttered mind. It feels good.
Yeah, sometimes it doesn't take much to make me happy.

Xmas shopping for the gf trying to get it done early. Has anyone used/know anything about those Tesco Hudl Tablets? I know bugger all about tablets but the reviews look good and im thinking of getting her one. Shed only have it for casual use nothing heavy and I think it doubles as an e reader.

Good tip! They were. We had an awesome time although Sunday turned out to be really wet and after doing an exhibition we got bored of traipsing around in the rain so went to a beer hall and met some crazy Russians. I'm never drinking with Russians ever ever again. We went to Salzburg on Monday and lets just say that I wasn't feeling myself!
Edit: Hang on, is it me or does that read like I was sexually assaulted by Russians?! I had a terrible hangover!!

This is pretty goofy and I know a lot of you don't have FB profiles, but if you go here: http://what-would-i-say.com/ then it will auto-generate Facebook statuses based on previous statuses you've made, with occasionally hilarious results.
