After finishing Toll The Hounds, the only thing that I could think is how awesome Anomander is. This guys well over Three hundred thousand years old, and he just knows everything. He's obviously Eriksons Jesus. Only he bangs heaps of gorgeous broads, and likes spreading his children everywhere.

He's just so much BETTER then everyone else. Dassem was all cocky trying to kill him, all part of Rakes plan of course, but he was so incompetent Rake had to cut the shit short and kill himself - That's dedication.

Not only that, but he has a son that he hasn't even raised, yet the son is already showing signs of being awesome. Its not something taught, its in the GENES.

And there was this time when he was hanging out with his Bros, Andarist and Silchas, just having a awesome time being awesome, and he finds out his mum has being slutting it up around town. Instantly he's like, "Fuck that!" and goes and smacks her around, after Drinking the Blood of Dragons and becoming even more awesome then he was before (I didn't think it was possible. It was). Which just goes to show he doesn't take shit from anyone, not even his family.

So this is dedicated to the best guy ever, everyone share your thoughts on the big guy.

1. Defied his mother (an Elder God) and led his people to safety from a vicious Civl War.
2. Beat and imprisoned Kilamandaros (another Elder God) after CLEANSING Kurald Emurlahn of Dragon usurpers and feral Eleint.
3. Beat Draconus (another Elder God) and stole his soul eating sword.
4. Led possibly the most powerful race (excluding possibly the Jaghut) and gave them a reason to live.
5. Fought and beat Osseric at least a few times.
6. Fought the Malazan Empire's best mages to a standstill.
7. Carried a sword that held countless powerful entities souls and also used that same sword to defeat several Seguleh (possibly the most skilled swordsman race on the planet).
8. Denied Godhood and the countless oppurtunites to have lordship and dominion.
9. Scared the shit out of Kallor (another badass who can take almost anybody)
10. Masterminded a plan to save the universe.
11. Gave his life (twice) to bring his people's god back to them and also...oh yeah...SAVE THE FUCKING UNIVERSE.

Amusing DM, it's a vital correction.

Anomander may not have been the most powerful being in the universe, there are many others who could have claim to that title. For example, Dassem in my opinion was nigh on unstoppable at the moment they fought, the eye witness noting Dassem as the most prominent member of the convergance goes some way towards vindicating this. I get the feeling that Dassem in Dragnipur may have pushed the Chaos back leagues and leagues. Rake and Dassem were to all intensive purposes roughly equal from what we could deduce.

Raest, for example, with his Finnest would have beaten Anomander.

Rake was certainly a worthy specimen and he did credit to the Andii but let's not start worshipping him for the rest of our lives. Oh, and Grief he's definitely dead.

Dassem is a PUSSY. I don't know who your sources are, but Karsa was saying the other day that Dassem was acting like a little GIRL during the fight. I'm not saying he isn't awesome, just compared to Anomander, He's practically a piece of warm shit with legs. And he also has female emotions; Anomander has NONE. He just strives on being cool all the time and lets his actions speak for themselves. Meanwhile back at the convergence, Dassem realises Anomander is better then him and had to kill himself, So he reels away having a cry.

Do you know what Anomander does when his kids die? He makes some more because obviously the last ones were not up to being his kids so deserved to die. Dassem goes on a Hundred year search of Death, And in the end when He's just about to kill him- BAM, Anomander gets it done cos he's sick of waiting for Dassem to stop whining and do it.

Also, little known fact - Anomander was off his tits during the time of Gardens of the Moon, so he wasn't really in any condition to do much, Yet he still got a bunch of shit done. Where was Dassem? Probably crying on an island somewhere.

Yeah, I doubt hes coming back, as I think he would be too powerful, and that it would be a bit hollow.

I get the impression he was better than Dassem, due to the fact that Rake manipulated the fight perfectly to his own ends, although Dassem is obviously damn good as a swordsman, he doesn't seem to have the power Rake has, although with another 300,000 years who knows. I reckon Dassems probably the best left, with perhaps a few exceptions.

Not sure about Raest etc, but who knows as we're not going to see them fight.

If hes not the most powerful hes definetely up there with them.

Anyhow whatever he was he definetely was uniquely brilliant to read, so heres to him.

Erm Raest was trapped...twice.I bet anyone who has ever tried to betray/trap the Son of Darkness ended up pulling a cart in some unpleasant dimension for eternity( and now has enough time to regret his/her silly plan)
