There're lots of variations of Archie & co. comics, including horror (a whole Archie Horror imprint) and other adult/mature themes (e.g. Life With Archie). The show is an original soap opera and Twin Peaks-inspired take, I believe, but it's not the first departure from the kid-friendly comics that people are most familiar with.

This is definitely the best variant Archie I have read:

In other news ... Netflix is working on interactive TV, and has a test episode of Black Mirror, apparently. "Bandersnatch":

https://www.news.com...7c4cc7f33842032

I have no horse in this race (thus far) but I'm interested in the verdict from you Black Mirror viewers.

EDIT: well it's already front-and-centre on my Netflix home page.

Is that your 1st time? It was an excellent show.

Can’t wait for movie.

I watched it years ago. Didn't finish all seasons though, maybe only reached 2.

I've been thoroughly enjoying it though, the acting is superb, and there is so much depth to the characters. That final ep nailed it though, when a scene can get to you just through the way two people are looking at each other, no words needed... great stuff.
So that's the story. And what was the real lesson? Don't leave things in the fridge.

I just watched Bandersnatch. Quite the head fuck. Going to have to watch it again at some point and see what different choices do.

If you find yourself with some downtime (like around the Holidays) and you're flipping around looking for something to watch on the telly, whatever you do, do not stop on (and watch) a show called Dr. Pimple Popper. Posted ImagePosted ImagePosted Image

Especially if you've eaten any thing like clam chowder, shellfish, cottage cheese, yogurt or other viscous soups, cheeses or foods that have a combination of creamy and chunky consistency. Let my mistake guide you away from doing the same.Posted Image

Somehow this came up in my Netflix suggestions:

https://www.imdb.com/title/tt9476490/

The Last Hangover. The Last Supper meets The Hangover. In Portuguese. I kid you not.

I have only watched the trailer but I dare say it's not for anyone from the USA Midwest.

Also on Netflix - "The Fix", another comedian panel show which tackles a social problem each week.
Hosted by Jimmy Carr but with American comedians, so I'll watch a few eps and see how it goes.

Watching Patriot Act with Hasan Minhaj on Netflix. Very interesting and occasionally quite funny.

I do wish he'd stop throwing his hands all over the place though. Very distracting.

I had never heard of it or him before today, but was originally led to it by this article:

https://www.news.com...c5229e318b74290

So of course I had to see what it was that pissed off the KSA, because it had to be worthwhile.

EDIT: My Netflix seems to be determined to play the eps in reverse order so it threw me for a bit, but I got there.
The relevant ep (#2 in the series) is called - unsurprisingly - "Saudi Arabia". Not a whole lot I didn't already know, but it was a pretty good summary.
The best bit was actually at the end of the ep when he talks about Indians.

Watched Bandersnatch last night. It was weird. Not sure what to think of it. It was very different, that's for sure. Whether it completely worked i am not sure about, but much foodfor thought. Interactive telly, but also holding up a mirror to the 'player'.

Yesterday, upon the stair, I saw a man who wasn't there. He wasn't there again today. Oh, how I wish he'd go away.

Disliked the book but am curious about the show. Could be decent, could be THE STRAIN.

Extra points if it’s someone you only know from their appearance on DANCING WITH THE STARS.
