That stingray's barb had it coming!
.... did I cross a line?
From the blurb I read about it, seems as if the show takes place mostly at zoo in Australia. Not a huge fan of zoos, but they can serve some positive. When just a wee lad watching Steve do his thing, I thought about doing something like that when I grew up. Was a proper 'bug/frog/snake' hunter in my own little corner of the universe.

You might be excited about this BK: apparently USA Network is bringing back Temptation Island.

A pale comparison to Paradise? Dear Gods, how shit can a show be to get that label?

Terrace House!
I follow the main TH instagram feed, and it's so weird that because the Japanese airing of the show is ahead of us by a large chunk, I always see people on there and I'm like "Who the hell is that guy?"....the turnover in the house this season has been insane. People leave when they realize they aren't finding love.
Taka is the longest running guy in the house now!

Finished Black Mirror S3 Ep4. This was hands fucking down a start to finish! Do believe that was my favorite of the show so far. Great music as well. Damn that was stellar.
Remind me which one that is?

I think S4E1 is gonna make your brain explode. Or, in more BK-ish vernacular, your pants.

It appears the new Black Mirror season on Netflix is going to kick off with a feature-length episode (90 mins). Should be interesting.

That's crazy to me. It was such a horrifying concept! One of the best 'horror' episodes imo, especially because the Plemons character is so true to life. Of all the "if this tech existed, this is how some real people would use it" concepts of the show, this was the most on-target.
But you did say you weren't a big fan of The Twilight Zone, and this is among the most TZ-ish episodes, so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.

New Watership Down is.... meh.
The voice acting is very good, the visuals are actively off putting to watch. The bits and pieces where they stuck to the story were easily the best parts (shock horror) and some of the emotional beats still worked well. However there was far too much faffing with the narrative in order to beef up the scant female parts and give them all more to do. For me, it really didn't work. May well watch the original film again today!

I'm watching the Riverdale Tv-show on Netflix based on the Archie comics.
I feel like I'm out of this shows age range but it is oddly fun.
I don't remember the comics well enough to recognize the characters but the show seems well cast and well crafted. There's a slight Twin Peaks mixed with Buffy mixed with Dawson's Creek thing going on.
Not sure where the show is meant to go. Is it a murder show? A supernatural show? There's a darkness lurking in that town.

Riverdale is meant to be over the top on a way that's like Pretty Little Liars. There's constant references to pop culture of 40/50 years ago and onward that nobody under the age of 25 is going to get unless they're deeply immersed in consuming oldie culture. I get most, but that's because I'm 33 and have been paying attention to stuff.
It generally does a good job, but the over the top nature means that there are plenty of dud moments. Fortunately, the actors are mostly very good at rescuing iffy material.

AFAIK aside from names of people Riverdale bears very little resemblance to Archie comics...

There're lots of variations of Archie & co. comics, including horror (a whole Archie Horror imprint) and other adult/mature themes (e.g. Life With Archie). The show is an original soap opera and Twin Peaks-inspired take, I believe, but it's not the first departure from the kid-friendly comics that people are most familiar with.

Final episode, season one of Deadwood.
Goddamn that is some seriously good tv. Brilliant on all counts.
