I watched the Dragon Prince. It was pretty good. Solid, light-hearted and easily digestible entertainment.
Screw you all, and have a nice day!

Season 2 finale of THE MAN IN THE HIGH CASTLE was absolutely top notch PHENOMENAL. Like the build up during that episode is a crescendo that refuses to stop. I literally stayed up way too late binging the last few eps of Season 2 last night so that I could load my iPad up with the freshly released Season 3 to take with me to the hospital when my wife goes into labour (she loaded her phone up with PRETTY LITTLE LIARS....my choice is better!).

And then to wet my whistle for the 3rd season, I watched the trailer for it...and Oh. My. Gods. What an incredibly perfect trailer.

MAJOR spoilers for anyone who is not caught up to at least the end of S2, but check it out if you are caught up. The use of song here is perfection.

Indeed! We are 6 eps into S3 and so far they have left my jaw hanging on the floor twice over things that have taken place. Did not see either one coming in the slightest. We are trying not to fly through the season too fast but will still likely be done by or over the weekend at the very latest. And then back in a Show Hole. Is Stranger Things back soon??

Best of luck to you and your wife with your baby delivery! Is that #2?

I thought that was your 2nd. We wanted 2 from the start and were fortunate to get a girl and a boy, as we had wished for. And less than 2 years apart also. They are very close, which we also hoped for.

Congrats on the announcement guys, hope the baby isn't too much of a handful for you Posted ImagePosted Image.

Just watched the newest season of the Flash and I quite like it, I especially loved all the callbacks in this episode hopefully it will keep up the excitement as it goes on.

You know, I didn't watch this preview you posted until just now because I thought I had seen them all and we were already watching S3. But I had not seen this one and WOW, I kind of wish I had before we started. We finished Ep 9 last night. This season has been a slow and steady build toward seemingly pretty big things. Two HUGE surprises (at least) and a study of...well, I won't say anything about that as I seem to be far out ahead and don't want to even hint at a spoiler. Can't wait till you (or anyone else) catches up!

Finished Maniac (the Netflix one). Pretty good! There was a lot more Wes Anderson DNA in the feel of it (if not the directing style) than I was expecting, and even a bit of Spike Jonze too. Not to take anything away from Cary Fukunaga, cuz a lot of real imagination and craft went into this. Anyway I don't know if everything makes sense or is important beyond the neat trick of setting up callbacks and then fulfilling them, but the cast is universally great, every episode offers something cool or interesting going on, it's emotionally resonant where it should be, and it even sticks the landing.
They came with white hands and left with red hands.

Just watched the first episode of Norsemen. Very droll humour. As well as bloody and coarse. But mostly droll.

I'd call it a cross between Vikings and Plebs.

Will watch again. Six Ättestupa out of nine.

Meh it's not that bad. He knows it's just entertainment and the 3 times I had him turn his head on Walt and Sklars early sex scenes I probably didn't even really have to as he has already been busted watching porn on his phone.

When he's busted selling meth on his phone, remember you said that.

When you're under 18, you should split the profits 50/50 with your parent(s).

What if he just comes up with a new recipe and licenses it out to more established meth labs?

Are his parents entitled to some percentage on the intellectual property?

If his dad is paying for the phone he's conducting the bizniz on he should at least pay overhead... hey Bk, is your kid studying chemistry at school yet?
What about the home volcano thing... was his curiously shiny and odorless? Did he save the 'lava' for later?

Finished the first season of X Files. Overall I really liked it.

Just don't watch the recent two revival seasons...as they take almost all the world building they did in the original run and throw it in the garbage.

I mean, the original run contradicted itself a million times over, too, and by the end the mythology was a nigh-unwatchable mess. (Not to say that the revival seasons 9-10 are any good, either.)

But do make sure to watch Season 9's "Mulder and Scully Meet the Were-Monster", which manages to be one of the highlights of the entire series. (Written by Darin Morgan, whose episodes are all among the show's best.)
"Here is light. You will say that it is not a living entity, but you miss the point that it is more, not less. Without occupying space, it fills the universe. It nourishes everything, yet itself feeds upon destruction. We claim to control it, but does it not perhaps cultivate us as a source of food? May it not be that all wood grows so that it can be set ablaze, and that men and women are born to kindle fires?"
―Gene Wolfe, The Citadel of the Autarch
