Just announced, YOUNG JUSTICE is getting a season 3!

Easily one of the best animated shows to have been on TV in the past few years (with only THE CLONE WARS and REBELS above it on my list)...cancelled after Season 2 because (and I quote) "THE TOYS WEREN'T SELLING"....and because fans have been complaining since it was cancelled, and refused to watch TEEN TITANS GO (which replaced YJ on the schedule)...DC animation finally got their heads out of their asses and decided to bring it back for a 3rd season.

This is great news! Oh, and if you've not watched it yet, I'm pretty sure both existing seasons are up on Netflix in their entirety.

This please me. Was a great show. Godd stand alone episodes and a long term arc that worked as well. TV Greatness

I hope justice league action proves half as promising

Hadn't realised that Netflix had done a third season of Charlie Brooker's 'Black mirror'. It is bloody awesome. The first two seasons on Channel 4 were good, but damn, there is some seriously thought-provoking stuff in this season. And by the looks of it a bit more budget behind it as well.
Yesterday, upon the stair, I saw a man who wasn't there. He wasn't there again today. Oh, how I wish he'd go away.

I've heard good things about 3%. Not looked into it myself yet though.

Isn't Taboo more of a BBC show that FX happen to have picked up, or did they co-fund it? Either way that's okay; the BBC have a pretty solid track record themselves...

watched the first episode of Shooter.
its basically the films set up. I was curious see what their angle would be but its basically the film drawn out into a series as far as I can see. Why would Ryan Felipe sign on for this? does it broaden its scope or generally stick to the films line?

ETA - a quick google shows they are both based on Point of Impact.

sigh. a waste of 40 mins of my life due to lack of investigation.

@ Macros
Watched the first 2 episodes of SHOOTER because like you i didn't read up on what they were doing, and was curious how they could pad the film out into a series. The only hope this series has to not be shit, is if they end it after one season by choice and not from crap ratings

Narcos is superb. I watched it at exactly the right time. Finished S1 just days before 2 came. Can't wait to see how dif 3 will be while remaining the same if ya know what I mean.

Agreed. Am VERY curious to see what they do with s3.

I think post-Escobar, the drug running trade coming out of Columbia was blown wide open into turf/cartel wars.

It doesn't follow the film exactly.

I actually really enjoyed the first three eps and looking forward to the fourth tonight!

Yeah but 95% of the greatness of this show was on the shoulders of Escobar actor. It's gonna be felt. Ive a feeling they ll try and blow the violence up x50 to distract us. It was violent anyway irl but he will def be missed.

Some VERY interesting people come after Escobar in the history of this all, and the depth that the US govt gets involved on the bad side is very interesting too. All the stuff that came out in 1998 about it.

Don't watch Timeless. Watch Travelers! It has Eric McCormack and feels like Stargate-era scifi.

Yep, and they did take steps to set up the remaining narcos and commies as characters in their own rights, as well as the CIA angle.

I just pray they don't spend time to show us 'Tata's struggle'. There is just no need.

But yeah, that actor was Amazing.

OUTCAST three eps in.Pretty good so far. Managed at least one solid twist per ep, the cast are good, I'm curious about where this is going. Also, the beginning of ep three was viscerally distrubing, mostly because of what we did not see.
Kirkman does good work when he's not zombieing all over the place.

Started watching Good Girls Revolt on Amazon cuz I read about the really insulting way it was cancelled (very publicly, and only a few weeks after it premiered -- on Amazon Prime, mind you, where you'd think longer-term thinking would apply compared to cancel-happy networks). That's to explain that I went in rooting for it. Good cast, solid premise, visually appealing -- and all those things hold true. Unfortunately it has some of the worst writing on a non-network show I've seen in a while. This show constantly sounds like people talking about 'The Sixties' instead of living through it. Everything is just too on the nose.

Example from the pilot:
(Scene set literally like the day after the Altamont festival violence)
Editor: Doing drugs doesn't necessarily mean you believe in peace and love.
Researcher: Yes it does... I mean it did... it was supposed to... but I guess...Altamont...changed that.

If Mad Men is an A+, and Masters of Sex is a solid B, then this show is like a D+/C-. I'm only three eps in though, and hoping it'll improve the rest of the way.

Also it has Jim Belushi.
They came with white hands and left with red hands.
