Great show! Enjoy!

Sidenote: Walter Bishop's Lab exterior is on the University of Toronto campus and every time we walk by it I remember that's where Walters lab was supposed to be.

I've reached endgame narrative arc of the K-Drama IT'S OKAY TO NOT BE OKAY (I have 4 episodes left) and I really have to say how this has spoiled me...this may be one of the most exquisitely written TV shows I've ever had the pleasure of watching. It's so intricately plotted, and stunningly acted and directed. Every episode I'm freshly impressed by it, and Oh Jung-Se who plays Moon Sang-Tae is an award-level revelation in the role. And I mean everyone (and I do mean everyone) in this show is excellent, but Oh Jung-Se is on another level.

Also, I've only just learned why people in K-Drama's eat at Subway so blatantly, and drink certain drinks a lot and have nice clothes and brand names and corporate logos...it's because there are no commercials in Korean TV, so it's all plotted product placement...so if they go for a bite to eat...they do so at Subway. It's not overt though like it can be on Western TV, they don't comment on how good the sandwiches are and shit...they just eat there, or use that new phone, the logos are shown and that's about it. It's not distracting, is what I'll say.

S02E07 of The Boys. That ending, holy fucking shit ...

One episode to go! They have really messed with the storyline from the comics so much it barely resembles it anymore ... but you know what? It's good.

Loving the closing credits music. Very tongue in cheek.

I you haven't watched it, I heartily recommend it. Very adult though, lots of gore and f-and c-bombs. Etcetera.

Karl Urban's cockney accent may not be 100% (channelling Skurge just a wee bit), but he really nails the character. His nonverbal work, just his expressions, even just his eyes - awesome.
Best character actor going around imho.

Tartakovsky's PRIMAL.

Holy fucking dinofuck, this cartoon is INSANE. The first two eps have just enough character building amidst the 22min of The Adventures of Mini-T-Rex and Neanderthal The Barbarian, ep 3 keeps the character beats going but ups the action, and 4 is essentially one long utterly mad action scene i had to watch again while i was watching it. And then again. I have not watched ep5 yet because of how many times i had to rewatch parts of 4 last night.

And the style... i haven't seen anything this ambitious since some of the original HEAVY METAL stuff and more recently the Netflix Robots anthology. There is no dialogue. none. grunting and roaring and screaming, yes, but zero actual words. The soundtrack is perfect, it properls you through the action.. and the action.... fuck me like a vegan chicken pot pie...

Spoiler

Also impressive, not just how cleverly the animation uses the two leads' expressions to convey emotion, but how sparsely they use that trick and trust the viewer to figure it out instead of giving a dinosaur human expressions or making a caveman emote.

Worth a look if you don't mind your cartoons bloody.

I'm two episodes in and am utterly blown away by how excellent it is. Well worth seeking out.

Finished IT'S OKAY TO NOT BE OKAY, and it ended perfectly. Wonderful show, well worth the watch. And it's pretty standalone, 16 eps and done, no need for anything more storywise.

And I've started ITAEWON CLASS and holy shit...Korean Drama's put our stuff to absolute shame for writing and execution...this is now the 3rd K-Drama I've watched and once again I'm stunned by the acting, writing, score, pacing, music, cinematography, direction...And this one is much more city-centred (MR. SUNSHINE was a period piece, and IOTNBO has like 2 episodes in Seoul before moving to the coastal Seongjin) so you get a nice taste of Seoul proper.

Giving a strong reccomendation for the show Dave. It's a new show that is available on FX network/FX on Hulu. Season debuted earlier this year and I just recently binged all episodes from the inaugural season. It is excellent. Very heart felt and earnest, and hilarious. GaTa is the best hype man ever! And the best friend. You gotta watch for the episode where GaTa reveals he is bi-polar. Dave should be right in the wheelhouse for thouse of you who are familar with and enjoy the show 'Atlanta'. Excellent show. Check it out.

Took me forever to get around to it, especially on the back of literally knowing people like this and having dated a girl from the Ontario town it's based on, but LETTERKENNY is fantastic!

Made to the point I normally turn Lonesome Dove off cause all the fire went out. I have decided to just go on since I have nothing else to watch and I don’t feel like digging through my box to find another dvd.

I’m glad I never bought Return but if I had it I’d probably just go ahead and watch it. Voight just can’t bring what Jones brought.

I like to pretend Return never happened.
