Been watching this Norwegian show on Netflix called HJEM TIL JUL (Home For Christmas) which is very much a sort of 'Hallmark Christmas' style deal (looking for love around the holidays) of a show, but it's really well written, hilariously funny, and just really charming which elevates it above this type of fare. I'm about half way through the season and it's been just a wonderful watch. The lead actress is VERY good.

Does it have vikings?

So far no, but maybe later!

I've seen the trailers for this and it looks great, glad it's up to scratch.

Bit of disembowelment would probably make it 1000000% better though.

Dang did I miss drama?

As did I. :(

You know it's very rude of you all to wait until I'm at work or asleep (sometimes the two intersect) to have drurmurs.

Decade lists have been popular, but here's one focused on 2019.

The 25 best TV shows of 2019

I don't think Lodge 49 has ever been discussed here on the forum (holds 8th spot on the list). I still need to finish watching season 2, but it is excellent. If you have a Big Lebowski itch that needs to be scratched, this show will do it.

Finished HOME FOR CHRISTMAS, and it was lovely all the way through. A funny, charming story!

Just going to float this out there, because I think a lot of you missed out due to the meltdown of GoT final season. . . . watch Chernobyl. It is pinnacle quality, across the board.

My daughter was watching STAR VS THE FORCES OF EVIL on D+....and my gods...what an incredible show! Well written, plotted, animated, and acted....and really fun and whimsical....but above and beyond all else...it's goddamn hilarious! I find my self laughing out loud ALL THE TIME. Like Bob's Burgers' level of humour for me.

It also has the catchiest theme song ever!

Rightthefuckon! Was best tv of 2019 for me. Note I still have yet to watch 3 or 4 other big shows but they will have to step up way beyond anything I expect of them being capable of to over top it.

Hyped! One of my mates watched it and said it is an amazing watch...

I've got a load of shows built up to binge but Watchmen is the one I am looking forward to most.

Sorting through my to watch list:

American Gods s02
Barry s02
Castle Rock s02
Deadwood s02 & s03
Emergence s01
For All Mankind s01
Legion s03
Mr Robot s04
Peaky Blinders s05
SEAL Teams s02 & s03
See s01
Silicon Valley s06
The Expanse s04
The Mandalorian s01
The Sopranos s05 & s06
The Terror s02
Treadstone s01
And the piece de resistance - Watchmen...

So yeah, plenty to keep me occupied... I might have to drop some shows though as there is just too much to watch...

This from BoJack Horseman -

Quote

"It was the worst mistake of my life, and I once played Twister with Bryan Singer... at Kevin Spacey's party... for Any Dick's early parole"

- Mr. Peanutbutter (Paul F. Tompkins), apologizing for being unfaithful, on BoJack Horseman)

Ha! I audibly guffawed upon reading that. I'm working my way through season 2. Damn, I need to step it up though.

He's excellent in Silicon Valley. Finishing up the final season myself. If you guys haven't watched, you should, I recommend it highly.

Ok, last night, I was able to get around to watching the finale of Watchmen.

I say this in a good way - Watchmen is singularly, the most insane television I have seen in quite some time (maybe ever). Make it a priority to get on it, if you haven't already.

And that is how I will leave it, because who has two thumbs and doesn't like spoilers?Posted Image

Dits. Just wrapped up Watchmen and is an excellent season of television. Regina King was phenomenal.
I've always been crazy but its kept me from going insane.

I do, but we obviously aren't wearing the same-coloured glasses.

It's funny... i'm actively avoiding EXPANSE and WATCHMEN spoilers hard, but with STAR WARS i just can't bother.
