Any you guys watch Counterpart? I finally got around to watching the first episode and found it really intriguing. The missing detail about the flower vase at the nurse's station could be seen coming from a mile away though. In any event, I really enjoyed the first episode. I think I may be on board for this series (at least the next few episodes as long as they keep up the same intrigue and quality).

I just got caught up through Eps 2, 3 and 4 over the last 2 nights after having watched the premier Ep back in December. This show is not a fast mover, its more of a slow burn. But Ep3 had some very interesting reveals that get you wondering about a lot of things and Ep 4 gives some interesting insights into multiple characters as well as setting the stage for what's to come. I'm in for the long haul. J.K. Simmons is excellent in both roles. Unfortunately, I looked ahead on the on demand menu for a clue to what may be coming (they reveal nothing!) and it looks like S1 may be only 6 Eps?! That will be disappointing, if so.

I kind of figured it was a slow mover. I'm letting a few episodes queue up in my DVR so I can binge them. I don't mind the slow pace as long as the quality meets or exceeds my expectations.

The Magicians S2E9. Really got hit with the "losing your shade" is a bad thing clue-by-4 (I mean besides Martin).

I don't see Elliot's spousal decision working out well.

An interesting compare-and-contrast with particular regard to morality about two shows I have been watching - The Good Place and ST: Disco

I started rewatching Babylon 5 a few days ago. Even when the acting is atrocious, this show is so good. Absolutely the finest science fiction show of all time. Nothing past or present compares.

"And The Sky Full Of Stars" is such a good episode. Sinclair's slow struggle to regain control feels genuine and difficult — weighty.

I do hope to watch that someday, maybe once I finish all the STs.

A few things I've been watching lately, none of which are narrative:
2 Dope Queens has a series of four specials airing on HBO. The first one is decent but the second one (Hair) is super good with a great lineup of comedians (Aparna Nancherla & Sheng Wang especially). Third ep is pretty great too. Their chemistry is just so infectious.

Chris Rock: Tamborine. Liked it quite a bit. Better than his last special (the one that jumped around between various continents). Much smaller crowd than his usual specials, and it fits the material. His relationship stuff still zig-zags between very funny and very men-are-from-mars-women-are-from-venus, but that has always been the case with him, and this one has the kernel of his divorce to ground some of it. And generally he's still one of the funniest dudes ever.

The Joel McHale Show: There are few things I miss more than The Soup. So I think this is what Snow White must have felt like when Prince Charming woke her up.
They came with white hands and left with red hands.

I finished The Magicians season 2. Nice little wrap up at the end. I'm surprised there is no council trying to reign in Q and his buddies.

It's adorable how seriously you take the obviously staged "relationships" on this show, BK.

I have always found the bachelor a little creepy. Why do these 30 hot, successful women compete over the same man? Its like sanctioned cheating. I also feel like a lot of the desire for the bachelor is actually just a desire to win masquerading as a desire for him.

I just like to hear Abyss’s groan all the way from Canada.

At least they are highly skilled athletes. Not sure if there is such as thing as highly skilled daters. Or why anyone would want to observe them in the wild.
Yesterday, upon the stair, I saw a man who wasn't there. He wasn't there again today. Oh, how I wish he'd go away.

Watched episode 2 of Counterpart. A bit slow moving but still intriguing. Some hints were dropped about the split realities.
