But Korra has been kicked off of television. Do the online episodes debut on Friday too?
They came with white hands and left with red hands.

Yep, they do.

Precisely. I haven't started season 3 yet, but I believe the first 7 or so episodes (not sure how double episodes count) were aired on Nick, and the rest of the season is web exclusive. Everyone is still insisting that it has not been cancelled though, so there's that silver lining.

Not been cancelled, but Nick is doing some shenanigans with it. Eps 9 onwards will be online only.

Keep in mind that the Netflix episodes were often shot on a tight budget and limited availability, so they went for a story that unfolded slowly over the season.
In short, the most recent season takes a little bit longer to get going than the others.

Well it hasn't been as big as cash cow as the first series, but on top of that a couple things happened this season. Most of them Nick's fault. Episodes 3-6 were leaked via Nick Mexico. They did next to do marketing for this season. They literally announced the air date of the first episode a week before and then pushed out two episodes at a time. Then there's the fact the how people watch TV is simply changing and prefer streaming online. So yeah it's most Nick's incompetence to marketing the cartoon which is a shame because this season is the best yet.

Yeah that was quite hard work, S4. I hope if they do another they revert to the old format rather than make a really convoluted mess.

It's even more impressive in light of how tonally misguided Weeds became not too long into its run. OITNB is like a breath of fresh air in comparison.
I disagree. I don't love OitNB because I feel it repeats most of the mistakes that Weeds did, to the point that I feel like I am watching the worst parts of Weeds sometimes.

I was recently rewatching the Wire, and it's still my favourite TV drama of all time, especially the first season. I was surprised how many actors I recognize now from other things: Wendell Pierce, Lance Reddick, Idris Elba, Michael B. Jordan and so on. I'm about to start the second season, hopefully it holds up as well as the first (and I have no doubt it will).
Seriously ya'll if you haven't watched the Wire do it, one of HBO's finest. If I remember correctly the last two season weren't as good as the first three but other than it's definitely one of the best tv shows in last couple decades. Other than the stereotypical call to watch the Wire, Korra has been amazing, if it ends well it'll probably be my favourite season from the Avatar universe ever (closely beating out the second season from the original series). Gravity Falls is as delightful as ever. Leftovers is the most fucked up thing on TV. And finally Defiance has improved so much this season I wonder if they had a massive change in the writer's room.

The fourth season was amazing. However, the fifth season was truncated and focused too heavily upon a plagiarizing journalist when it could have addressed the "low hanging fruit" problem to much more effect in the limited time frame.
The Wire remains the most courageous effort in moving pictures to address the dysfunction of a city and it's people anywhere. I'm frankly amazed it lasted as long as it did due to its limited commercial viability.

Yeah, one of my favourite things about is it tells a story of a city be telling the story of the people living in it. I really, really enjoy that way the shows how and why people act and react in the systems of control.

Finished all three seasons of VERONICA MARS and just watched the movie tonight.
Goddamn that was awesome. The show rocked, even though S3 was a little more disjointed.
It's hard not to to dig Dick as a chaarcter. He's just always so aloof and funny.
I'm also glad that:
Part of me wishes that the Kickstarted movie proved that there is room for a series of films...and part of me wants it to be left alone as 3 series and a movie.
Hell of a show that addicted both my wife and I from the get-go.

The web series is a meta series wherein Ryan Hansen (the actor who plays Dick) is struggling for roles and decides he wants to reboot the series. It's kind of an alt-world goof on the Kickstarter campaign. So returning actors all play themselves and their VM characters (as written, in this fictional universe, by Ryan Hansen). It'll probably be really funny, but it's gonna be more like Party Down than VM.
@QT there are two VM novels that take place after the movie. The first was already published (and is pretty solid, but in the weirdest possible decision, is written in third person perspective) and the second will be coming fairly soon AFAIK.

We're keeping up with it. I think it's gotten better and even done things kind of unexpected. That said, it's far from must watch TV.
OK, I think I got it, but just in case, can you say the whole thing over again? I wasn't really listening.

THE LAST SHIP - three eps in and while it's not particularly clever or original, damn if it doesn't hold my attention.
HOMELAND - just marathoned S1-3. At times tedious, at times predictable, but overall entertaining, well thought and and really well acted. Totally enjoyed and will live-watch S4.
TRUE BLOOD - S7... meh. I can't even bother after how little i enjoyed S6. It's really saying something when i won't watch the confirmed last season of a show i watched six seasons of.
