Wow! I ordered mine like 5 days ago through amazon.co.uk and it wasn't supposed to come till the 1st, but it was here when I got home from work earlier this evening. Great surprise, I never get anything early in Washington, DC.

Does that mean I get it through regular mail or is it going to be FedEx, UPS, or something else? I just got the regular shipping from Amazon UK and its coming to Colorado Springs.
What I do not know fills many more volumes than what I do know.

Finished Book 1... nice start I think. Slow and steady... reintroductions to many old characters... yay for the last line of Book 1. Had me smirking in anticipation.

I'm a little over 500 pages in. Overall, I'm really enjoying it; some plotlines more than others, obviously.
It's definitely a slow starter, but you can feel the tension building. The only thing that's started to annoy me a little is the dialogue between scorch and leff/bole brothers. It was funny at first but it gets to be a little grating, imo. That's probably just me.
Even though it's slow moving, a lot of really cool shit has already went down. Time to make some coffee and settle down for another day of reading.

Damn, my timing is terrible! I've just started re-reading the series and I'm only on MoI. I can potentially take a month on each so I could take my time and hope for book 9 to appear faster than expected, or I could get the coffee in and have at them. No question really. Mine's a treble espresso!

Im halfway through the book. There is so much juicy bits in there that im sure im missing stuff. A lot of people meeting up with people from before and a lot of other stuff about things.
Its good
Its good
"I think i was a bad person before. Before this time. I do not try to be good now but i am not bad. Perhaps if i try harder i may get a better hand dealt next time? But surely that makes it pointless? Perhaps i am good. Just good at being pointless. But that would make me bad. Bad at having a point. Ah…. I see now. I was nothing before, I am nothing now. I am bad purely because im pointless. "

I am going to praise the german shipping company's efficiency. Amazon UK said it would get to my house in the US on July 2nd.
And...."Witness"....there it was waiting for me when I got home from work yesterday.
Only got 50 pages in yesterday, but I have a 3 day weekend at the beach starting tomorrow. So Kids and wife not interupting, I hope to make good headway this weekend.

Abyss... have you checked your mail yet?
As of last night, courtesy of my local post office in a drugstore, I am 200 pages into TTH. Had the July 3 delivery date from amazon.uk c/o DHL. The stars aligned, the postman cometh, and the line-up at the pick up counter was only seven people deep. TTH has landed in Toronto.
You're going to hate this book 'Byss.

I underestimated the Deutsche. They told me July 3. I left on vacation June 27. Guess what they tried to deliver to me that same day?
I got back late last night. Long after the PO was closed. Two notices of attempted delivery in my mail.
I came into work this AM before the PO opened. I called the PO ten minutes ago. They have it. Or so they claim.
And i can't leave work. And do we want to bet i will be here long after the PO has closed for the day...
Kill me. Just kill me.
- Abyss, ARGH.

Eh, quit whining, Abyss - you don't have it that bad..
My estimated delivery is the 7th, I'm not entirely sure if DHL will deliver to PO Boxes, and there are forest fires cutting off the roads into town anyways, so they probably can't get through. Oh, and the smoke from nearly two weeks of said fires is giving me a headache, so reading's going to be unpleasant anyways.
