Of course, it kind of dents my case for Man City being CL place contenders...and my hopes of winning my Head to Head this week in the Fantasy League. But it's nice that my team of choice is finally starting to turn things around. And hey, it could have been worse, at least they're not Spurs!

EDIT: Damnation! City got the draw

It sounds as if you jinked poor old Newcastle.
It's ashame as they would have been out of the relegation zone with that win.

Spurs have three less points than Derby did at this stage last season.
Also, apparently no team with less than eight points at this stage of the season has ever stayed up. I don't know how true that is, not having checked, but if it is, it highlights the wonkyness of this year's season start... there's four of them.

I think I've read somewhere that Southampton is the only team to survive that bad a start in Premier League.

Tut tut, another loss for Spurs, this time at Udinese, and Woodgate's gone out with a groin injury. I anticipate eagerly the Bolton game and then the Arsenal game in 6 days.

Man City will most definitely be in a CL place at the end of the season. As long as they can stay top ten until January then they are set. They will probably sign Kaka, among other amazing players and they will jump. Liverpool will lose their CL place cause they are the most consistantly lame team in the Premiership in the last 4 years (although Spurs might get it this season).
Chelsea will win the Premiership... Period!

I have returned anew, wistfully my course holds true.

So Ramos is gone...it seemed inevitable, really. Any ideas about who is going to replace him?

I've just had this image of someone singing "I predict a Redknapp! I predict a Redknapp!" with Kaiser Chiefs in the background...

Oh dear god no!?!?! Apparently they've agreed 5million compensation with pompey, meaning that today cost them over 25million quid...
Still, I am extremely happy, even if I hate Redknapp, because they sacked Comolli! They sacked Comolli! They sacked Comolli!

'Arry is exactly what you need right now anyway. It's not about popularity or long-term success for you lot now, it's about him being proven at getting a flailing squad with all the wrong players into fighting shape and then building it into a team, because Comolli has left the team a ruin.
I'm not sure he's the man to get you into the CL eventually, but that's a consideration for a stabler time.
Also, Big Sam for Pompey.
