Still at least Fulham beat the Gooners, so it's not all bad. I would love for this to be a nice unpredictable season like it seems it might be, though I'm not holding out too many hopes. You can't predict very much on the first few games, thankfully.

Lose to Hull. Beat Arsenal. Talk about the two opposing poles for the Premiership.

Go Fulham!
Trouble arrives when the opponents to such a system institute its extreme opposite, where individualism becomes godlike and sacrosanct, and no greater service to any other ideal (including community) is possible. In such a system rapacious greed thrives behind the guise of freedom, and the worst aspects of human nature come to the fore....

At the moment, I'd hope that they end up losing to the team at the bottom, because I'm a Newcastle fan :D.
Don't look now, but I think there's something weird attached to the bottom of my posts.

Comically bad, really truly horrific. Gotta love spurs *handsome sobs*

Tottenham are in real trouble...

I made a bad call with the Arsenal-Hull game, Brown did say they were going to play physically (which equates to Arsenal struggling)

What a fairytale start to the season for the Tigers. After reading predictions that we would be worse than Derby - to now have same number of points as they achieved in 38 games is quite exciting - though the objective is still the same - to be in the Premier League next season. Geovanni has now cracked two beauties already this season - he is clclearly plannin g to get goal of the season.

Ouch indeed DKtorode

They just don't seem to be able to cope with any level of physicality, it's a shame that good fotball isn't enough but you have to be able to mix it.

Oh, Im depressed. Although Barnet won their first game of the season, so silver lining and all that. Plus, the spuds still cant win, AND they drew Liverpool in the cup. Mwahahahaha!!!

I've enjoying the season so far. I want one of two things to happen, Chelsea to do the quadruple or for Arsenal, Liverpool, Aston Villa or a real unexpected quantity (Hull) to win the premier league.

I'd much prefer Aston Villa out of the latter.

I would love to see a team like Villa win the league, but it'll never happen. Only Chelsea, Liverpool and ManUre have enough strength in depth in their squad to keep up the consistant performances needed to win for the whole season. And even Liverpool are a bit shaky...

An Aston Villa win (thus a Chelsea loss), a Liverpool win (thus a Man City loss) and a Man Utd loss this weekend will make this season very interesting.

Anyone else see that Etxeberria has just signed a one year contract extension at Bilbao for FREE?!

He'll be playing all season for absolutely no wages out of a gesture of loyalty and whatnot tot he team. How decent is that?! You wouldnt get many English PL players doing that, that's for sure. I mean, much as I hate Chelsea, thay've been bloody good to Lampard (a fact he acknowledged when he signed his new deal). But the fact is, he would only sign when he got £150k a week for 5 years, and after drumming up interest from Inter. that doesnt strike me as the actions of a loyal man.

Yeah but to be fair he's way past his best and being a Basque helps, there's probably only Gary Neville in the premiership who has the kind of fierce loyalty to the club that some of the Basques have to Athletic and Socieadad.
