Shhhh, you'll spoil the glamour!

Well I do now. You should have kept it quiet and pretended you could see the future :pizza:.

Sir Thursday
Don't look now, but I think there's something weird attached to the bottom of my posts.

New Pompey boss -- Tony Adams (!)

Oooh. Interesting. Wenger starts to build a legacy of manager formerly under his tuition, hoping to rival Fergie's. I think (IIRC) this is the first ex-Wenger player to manage a Premiership team. Fergie has four (Keane, Bruce, Ince, and ne other I can't remember).

I wonder how Adams will fare. Seems a sensible enough guy, solid performer, and interviews well. But is 'solid' enough these days? It's going to be a real test for him, I think.
It is perfectly monstrous the way people go about nowadays saying things against one, behind one's back, that are absolutely and entirely true.

Oh Brood, just too late for my repertoire of Spurs jokes.

Lucky man.

What's the difference between Spurs and a triangle?

A triangle ONLY has three points.

I don't think calling Adams ex-Wenger is really fair. He played under Wenger for a bit, sure, but he was already a made player by that point. Whereas Fergie pretty much brought Keane, Bruce et al through his own ranks.

Mark Hughes is other ex-Fergie player managing a Prem team.

I have no high hopes for Adams, granted that is based on his Wycombe experience.

Loved Adams as a player but have to agree he was a complete failure at Wycombe. Then he just gave up and resigned in a Kevin Keagan stylee which was very uncharacteristic of his playing style.

He will have learned a lot working with Redknapp though.

Man U are playing like shite lately. Sure they are getting the results but they are doing so in ugly ways. Anyone here a fan of Barcelona because at the moment they are the team to beat (IMHO) in Europe. Winning in style is the way to go.

Barca are what, 6th, 7th in La Liga at the moment? Winning isn't always what they're up to :(

Great player but like Shearer........but when they are doing the pundit thing.....its like they are reciting the pages of a coaching manual......no......flair? Hope he does well but can't really see it.

I can't see that defence standing up to a really good attack. Barca = flatter to deceive, again.

Barca are 2nd in La Liga and have won their last 3 games by more than 5 goals.

If Hull wins tonight I am going to celebrate.. yes I HATE Chelsea with passion..
ManU are the ones I like, but as mentioned earlier in the thread, they are having trouble "kicking it off" like they usually do. Tragic that Possebon (or whatever the heck his name's spelled) got injured during the match against M.borough. I really hope he'll be up and playing soon. A promising player.

oh well...the Tigers can't beat every London club we play I guess - but more important we have 20 points so half way to safety...I hope. We have tickets for ManU game on Saturday so we will be hoping desperately for a point
