    I don't quite recall how they "burned" the metals in Mistborn as it's been quite a while since I read the series but from what I do remember I imagined it being almost an inhalation of the essence of the metal. Now it cooks be that because I'm currently reading SLA, I'm getting a little mixed up with how they take in Stormlight but to me, a visual representation could be different colours being drawn into the body to represent different metals.

    I dunno. They could also just do an anime battle style announcement like Vin lifts her arms up and goes "Copper!" while a guitar solo wails in the background.

    However they do it, someone is going to complain.

    I think a Mistborn TV show would be better - three seasons with a good storyline running through. You could keep most of it in without cutting all that much plotwise, and the smaller cast of characters would help in that sense too. If it was planned to be 3 seasons and done to keep in line with the trilogy I think it would be epic. SLA (and bear in mind I am 40% through Oathbringer) is a big lumbering beast. And while it doesn't quite have the horrifically boring drudgery that filled 90% of the WoT books (loved the TV show for cutting a lot of that), there is an awful lot of stuff that would not necessarily translate so well to TV. It's easier to backfill worldbuilding in a book like that.

    I'll watch it anyway but I have similar reservations to a lot of you.

    Yep that was the thinking. And we can head into the nice little town if we want but if not we can just spend a day at the hotel which has kids pools and stuff.

    Just need to work on my bikini bod - don't worry I'll share pictures with you lucky people! 😂
