The destruction of the book of Dryjhna was the final symbolic step in breaking off with the old doctrines and freeing the way for Felisin younger to write a new religious book (Book of Salvation). So Felisin saw the breaking of the book as the final death nail to the original Whirlwind rebellion. Plus the word 'ruined' is thematically very fitting for the Crippled God/House of Chains.
