About Me
Well I picked up Gardens of the Moon in September because I remember a friend of mine had started reading this series and kept recommending it. The way he described it made me a little skeptical, however, I've torn through the series in the past few months with avid interest and will be deffinately rereading it once I finish.
I'm a huge fanatsy/sci fi reader and have read several series. Some are:
The Prince of Nothing Trilogy
Dune
The Dark Tower Series
The Night Angel Trilogy
The Winterbirth Trilogy
I'm also a writer and am currently working on a novel. Reading The Malazan Book of the Fallen has given me several ideas, though mostly it's given me somewhat of a base on how to structure my plot because I find that Steven Erikson reflects a similar writing style to my own. That being, things move on without the reader knowing until they catch up (or don't). I too don't waste time with overly described characters and tend to have things revealed through various view points.

Here is a series that will for ever inspire me. Not only as a writer, but as a person. Mr. Erikson has shown us both sides to the human condition. He has shown even the lost, the destitute, the forgotten and unwitnessed can triumph.
