Spoiler

Also, they need to de-nipple Ozy's costume.
Hello, soldiers, look at your mage, now back to me, now back at your mage, now back to me. Sadly, he isn’t me, but if he stopped being an unascended mortal and switched to Sole Spice, he could smell like he’s me. Look down, back up, where are you? You’re in a warren with the High Mage your cadre mage could smell like. What’s in your hand, back at me. I have it, it’s an acorn with two gates to that realm you love. Look again, the acorn is now otataral. Anything is possible when your mage smells like Sole Spice and not a Bole brother. I’m on a quorl.

- Abyss, notes 'de-nipple' is a verb that doesn't get nearly enuf use...

Nothing. And superhero nipples are apparently culturally acceptable requirements for an action movie.

I don't have the problems with Veidt's plot that everyone else seems to. I mean, it's silly if you look at it too closely, perhaps, but it works doesn't it? And it's suitably malicious.

I think it actually works to solidify why nobody believes Veidt when he starts pointing out what's wrong.

Edit: I mean, besides the whole spandex costume-wearing, poor social skills and assorted other weird habits thing.

So i had no idea what watchmen was but the title sounded good and i clicked on Wikipedia and read the entire plot synopsis and also all the character backgrounds and even i with my vast hour of wikipedia knowledge thought this might be trouble if hollywood get hold of it.

Suppose that Mario Puzo had declared "The Godfather" unfilmable and turned his back on the project. He'd have been dead wrong. I think this movie may very well be a great success.

Moore wasn't the only ono who has stated it. I remember reading it in one of Bendis's letter columns.

Watchman has way too much information for a movie.

While V was a good film, it butchered the comic.

While Watchmen might be a good movie, it will rape, spit, shoot, light on fire, then piss on the comic.

They were saying they might come out with an internet game to help explain the back story. Any viral crap like that should expand the story, not be necessary to it.

Uh, Byss? You may need to make your spoiler not red, as you can see it through the spoiler tags...

That spoiler sentence doesn't make any sense, unless the reader has actually read Watchmen.

Oh my, this looks awesome. Especially the ending.

When is this coming out again?

Also, this thread could use a moderator edit for the spoiler boxes.

Never read the GNs, probably should.

I saw the IMAX trailer when I went to see Dark Knight and it looked absolutely insane...now you're all making me nervous.

And someone else mentioned Sandman, which is about as good as it gets for GNs.

QUOTE (Stalker @ Jan 23 2009, 01:09 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
So last night I was walking downtown for some pizza at like 1am with some friends of mine,
and someone said, "I'm so hungry I could eat a whole pizza."

I said, "I bet I could eat 100 pizzas," and no one understood me. I was sad.
