I'm amazed you even had a moment of indecision. The choice is obvious. Stonewielder.
I bought Butcher's Side Jobs today. It's glorious.

I was wondering why you wrote Small Favours instead of Small Favour. Silly Apt indeed.

I managed to get hold of two Malazan Hardcovers (TOR originals) Reaper's Gale and Bonehunters. I'm bit happier than before.

What a silly question. Stonewielder no matter what.
In other news, went out looking for Stonewielder at my local book pushers yesterday but couldn't find it.
Instead I bought Small Favors by Jim Butcher and the first omnibus in the Gaunts Ghosts series by Dan Abnett. Anything that Werthead recommends is usually worth picking up.

I do apologise, the choice is obvious to me now. I just wasn't thinking straight is all -- I wasn't myself, but fear not; such dark thoughts have been banished and I'm much better now.
The love I bear thee can afford no better term than this: thou art a villain.

Killing time while I was waiting for my unit to be cleaned, I wandered into the local secondhand bookstore and picked up the Chronicles of the Black Company Omnibus (first 3 books) TPB in fairly good nick for $14.

Seriously, that's a major genre fan win moment. If they had multiple copies you should post the store name/location here so others can swarm.

It was just the one copy. They also had a hardcover copy of Heroes Die for $6 that I picked up for a friend for Christmas. And I nabbed myself a copy of Elric: The Sleeping Sorceress on clearance for 50 cents.

The other day I bought China Mieville's Perdido Street Station and The Scar. I need to end this terrible habit of buying books that end up 10 books deep in my To Read pile.

10 books deep is far better than the "I'll probably read this someday" plan that I've got going on.

I truly thought this was just me. LOL!
I have books from last Christmas that I haven't read. I want to read them but other things came out and begged to be read instead.
I buy books all the time that fall deep into the To-Read pile and I look at them and wonder, shit, when will I get to that one?
Glad I'm not alone.

My TRP is nauseatingly high and there is SO MUCH ready goodness in there... hell, HIS DARK MATERIALS have been somewhere in the middle of the pile for like three years now... SIDE JOBS is waiting for me to finish Stonewielder... the entire ALARA CODEX just below it, most of Rollins' SIGMA FORCE is just below that... GOD OF CLOCKS, a pile of Gemmel books, some Stross, some Stirling, piles of da Silva spy stuff, the original ILLUMINATI trilogy...

I am patiently awaiting your thoughts on the CODEX ALERA series...as I found that after book 3 it gets into Dresden-crack-like territory of awesomeness IMHO.
