The War Dogs Trilogy by Greg Bear -- longtime fan of Bear.
Oathbringer by Brandon Sanderson -- haven't tried Stormlight yet.

So Harper Collins is still doing their gorgeous hardcover re-releases of Tolkien stuff, and forthcoming in March of next year is THE SILMARILLION....

For my peeps whose money I spend just by posting the fact that this stuff is coming out, the linkage to the Canadian site, I assume your local Harper Collins sites will have it up too.

I've got a paperback Silmarillion with Ted Nasmith's illustrations in it. I'll always love Alan Lee's work, but some of Nasmith's is absolutely stunning.

Nasmith certainly does wonderful land/city scapes.

People are a mixed bag - he's no Komarck - but that Annuminas is gorgeous.

But yeah, there's only one Alan Lee and I am so happy I have hardcovers of his LOTR trilo.

I have that paperback version as well, it's lovely. I feel like the hardbacks are worth getting as "shelf-worthy" keepsake ones, especially because they match spine-wise. My paperbacks are great, but I feel like since they are "reading copies" they will eventually get ragged.

Hmm I think I've already got a burglary planned at your house for the space gym pants so I might as well pick up this book while I'm at it.

The space leggings are okay, but the books I'd definitely fight you for! Posted Image

Just bought Ten Arrows of Iron and Phoenix Extravagant in old fashioned papper, not sure when I'll start either but having a few physical books around is good for when I'm not in the mood for anything digital.
