I got Flowers For Algernon (because I should have read this long ago) and Queen City Jazz (because the cover was dope and it had a nice blurb from William Gibson) for half-price at The Strand.

MEG. By Steve Alten.
This is inherently a weak book. Flat characters. Predictable plot, what there is of it. Generally mediocre all around. At best.
Except when the MASSIVE SIXTY FOOT JURASSIC SHARK is 'on screen', in which case BEST BOOK EVER!
Okay, not really, not really even close, but for a fairly quick lite read, the scenes between shark attacks are basicaly just filler and the shark scenes are awesome fun.
Truly a turn-the-brainz-off book in most ways. But great monster shark carnage.

...just bought the rest of the MEG books....The Trench. Primal Waters. Hell's Aquarium... I feel dirty.
Look, they were just sitting there for like $3 each, what was i SUPPOSED to do???
- Abyss, ...thinks he's gonna need a bigger bookshelf...
....look, MEG: NIGHTSTALKERS and MEG:GENERATIONS... someone has to buy these or they will just sit there until the giant jurassic sharks invade and no one will know what to do and i can't have that on my conscience.

I seem to be on a creature feature run... something called SHADOW BEAST by Luke Philips, earbook was $3, some pos comments.
Based on the blurb and nothing more I'm betting on sabre-tooth tigers.

Dunno why you'd read a book with Piece Of Shit comments, but hey man, you do you.

Masochism.
Pure. Unadulterated, raw, manly, masochism.

Yes, the real shame here, is people not knowing the lyrics to all of Swift's songs.

This is now a Taylor Swift Thread.
What do you guys think about the new single "You need to calm down"? At first I thought it was too slow but it grows on you.

Huh, I saw a post from the author on r/ fantasy, I think, and thought that's one of the lamest fantasy titles I've ever seen.
But that blurb sounds stupid and interesting.
Edit: 4,48USD on Amazon right now? Why not.
