karsa would get his head caved in... no one seems to remember the entire point of Rake's sword is to chain souls.... Karsa carries souls every where, what better opportunity to load up the soul wagon, just by taking one little man.

Rake would kill Karsa in a sword fight from TtH as Karsa was shaken by 'witnessing' Rake fight. Not to mention he was so quick that Karsa couldn't actually see Rake initially.

Rake also is a huge soletaken Eleint and lets face it Karsa doesn't really stand chance against Rake in that form.
Rake has the most powerful Elder magic around Darkness/Starvald Demelain and other chaotic magic. Karsa would be ripped to pieces by that. He could not withstand the waves of black power that Rake used to melt stone and annihilate an army in GotM without even fully unleashing. His internal warren doesn't stand a chance. Not if Ebron could hold him.

Would Anomander simply shouldered Karsa, lifted him up, bite him, turned into Eleint, lift up, up, up, up, into Kurald Galain, then out of Kurald Galain, away, until the atmosphere is thin, then dropped Karsa down?
Granted, Karsa would simply hammering the Eleint form, but Anomander would have taken it like a man that he is.
But a Toblakai dropped from stratosphere? now that is a food for thought.

Rake for sure, without a sweat I would say. His power is immense and far superior to Karsa's. Let's forget all the experience, wits and tactics for now (so Rake is less in the advantage). If they would simply meet face to face and fight: also Rake!

Don't forget Rake faced 7 (seven!) Hounds of shadow and they were afraid to do anything. When they did decide to attack, he killed two within an instant and without even breaking a sweat! (The other 5 decided to retreat!) Not even using his magic, soletaken form or other skill but his swordsmanship.
Karsa has had two encounters so far (for me) that can compare: He fought two Deragoth and barely killed them, he got wounded badly and had to use all he had to get them down. Now the Deragoth are stronger than the Hounds, but not THAT much stronger. 2 Deragoth vs 7 Hounds would be won by the hounds I think.

Karsa also had a meeting with ST and Cotillion on the plains of Genabackis, there were 7 hounds there and Karsa clearly states: "'So,' Karsa murmured, 'these are the Hounds of Shadow. You would play games with me, then? Try for me, and when we're done few of you will leave this place, and none will be free of wounds, this I promise you. Havok, see the black one in the high grasses? Thinks to hide from us.' He grunted a laugh. 'The others will feint, but that black one will lead the true charge. My sword shall tap her nose first.'"
This means there will be a fight (no matter who wins) he doesn't simply state they should stay away or get killed, as did Rake (and he showed he wasn't bluffing).

Furthermore, Karsa is a child...he has only been 'awake' for some years (since his journey), he is naive and doesn't know the powers, gods and games that they play. Rake is pretty much the smartest and most tactical guy in the game and has seen/done things Karsa can't even think of. He has killed numerous Eleint, soletaken, demons and warriors all more powerfull than Karsa. Rake didn't even bother with Reast for example, but he could have if needed. And let's be honest: Karsa wouldn't have stand nearly as long as Reast versus an Eleint and multiple draconian soletaken with his flint sword and attitude.




So for me, asking Karsa of Rake is like asking: "Who would win in a fight to the death, Rambo or Hulk Hogan?"

If Karsa and Rake fought, there's no way in hell Rake would just turn into a Soletaken and shoot fireballs or whatever at him. Rake is too cool for that shit.

It seems like Karsa is constantly getting stronger and stronger after each battle. He's probably a lot stronger at the end of RG than he was when he killed the Deragoth in HoC.

Even if I like Karsa a lot, I don't think he'd stand a chance against someone as Rake.

My example comparison of power would be the Crippled God's attitude against Karsa and Silchas Ruin. When he met Karsa, he tried to lure him under his power, end even if Karsa refused, he still didn't move against tCG. On the other hand, he left one of his K'risnan to die because he wasn't willing to pit against Silchas Ruin. Now if we take into account that Silhas is never implied to be stronger than Rake, and Rake has Dragnipur, I don't think Karsa's strength is even close to Rake's.

And I wouldn't think Karsa would be strong enough to break Dragnipur's chains. Draconus being dragged there pretty much proves that Dragnipur's power is absolute.
