The problem is, Hetan taking time to be nice and tell us when it is coming has only driven some to madness.
So everyone shut the hell up!
it will get here when it gets here.

Here is the date:
Just as soon as Hetan gets it and is told it is ok for us to have it, it will be released.

Here isn't the date: now
This is ridiculous, if this goes on too much we'll get penalised for spamming. I say we just await patiently, and if that fails...Personally I would consider sometype of prologue discussion prohibition.

I'll bet I know what this book is about:
Veteran Ganoes goes through a small town in Genebackis after a trip going to visit Toc the Younger only to learn of his death; but in that town the hounds give him a toll for walking through, and then try to drive him out of town. Then when he tries to stay in town just to get something to eat, they have him contained and mistreat him. Then he escaped, and runs into the nearest jungle and the whole hound county goes after him. Whiskeyjack then comes along and tells the hound how futile the hunt is because he's a pro. Then tries to contact Ganoes, and Ganoes says "I just wanted something to eat. But your king shit hound here just kept pushing me. They drew first toll of the hounds, not me." Then Ganoes runs into town and starts getting back by harassing the towns and the chief hound makes them all evacuate. Then he goes into the building with the chief hound, but decides to have mercy and not kill him. But Whiskeyjack is there and tells Ganoes to give up because he's surrounded, and Ganoes breaks down and gives a heartbreaking monologue on life back in the real world, without his military buddies, and shares one especially gruesome story of a buddy getting blown apart. Then he gives himself up.

Except for mixing cutter and paran up in that story I think you're right on the money..
Lets hope Paran doesn't try and pour moranth chemicals into a wound.
Apt, live for nothing, die for something.

I feel like I've been waiting for the TtH prologue forever, when's it gonna be here?

I wish people had more of a concept on time and could actually keep the fans happy by releasing things at the right date. The problem is we're here and we are fairly insensitive to happenings like this. It's not like we are going to boycott everything because of it. We need to crack the pressure up. Refuse to buy from Transworld again apart from the Malaz stuff etc.!

He is in Toll the Hounds from what I've been able to gather...but I do not know the extent of his involvement

I would think the Master of the Deck would kinda have to be in the books from here on out...unless he dies in one of them before The Crippled God of course

I swear, if Duiker (near-favourite character) and the last of the bridgeburners (zomgzomgzomg!) are in TtH, then i will construct a shrine to SE. I've missed them for too long...
Ganoes Paran will be in it, even if he isn't preoccupied. Darujhistan is his home, it seems. I wonder, though, if he is on Lether, will he meet tavore? Man, I hope so. Then we will see Ms. Frigid crack open and gush. A pleasing image, considering she doesn't tell anyone anything.

Duiker might have died of grief or something, but the BBs are there in Darujistan and if Kruppe recruits them, you just know all kinds of mayhem is going to begin when they get involved.
Parans home isn't in Darujistan. He stayed in the Finnest Azaths because it was the closest. Logically he can come and go, through any Azath that he so pleases.

Another thing I've been wondering about and I guess it depends on what time TtH is set at. Will we see Iccy's machine in Darujhistan in action as well, I mean the whole thing in Letheras was pretty dramatic but it'd be particularly interesting if that had happened (at least to some extent) everywhere he'd built his machines.

Just a quick note to say that I saw the cover art for the US edition of Toll the Hounds. And for the first time, the Tor Books version will kick Bantam Press' ass! It's a pretty cool cover!
I've asked permission to post it on the blog... Hopefully they'll say yes!

The soletaken Eleint travelling with Mappo (her name is Spite, yes?) said Icarium was a part of the big convergence ahead. And that Mappo had a part to play. Since they were on their way to Genabackis(sp?) at the end of the Bonehunters, I'd say some Icarium-machine action is likely to happen. But wasn't the one in Darujistan just a machine made to measure time?
