I ain't a scouser, Don't want to be.
I'm a liverpool fan.
You know who is a scouser, that shrekalike rooney, yeah, the wonderkid who united fans sing about right after the throw out their derogative chants directed at the fine citizens of liverpool.
You'll find manc ain't any better of a city than the pool. the difference being, half of liverpool support everton, about 90% of manchester support city.
United are the beckhams of english footbal, anything for a buck and a few more followers. Park isn'tr good enough to be in the squad (maybe he might be now but initially he would have been dropped like a hot iron) hes there for asian marketing.gah I'm not fgetting into this arguement, I just spend a good half hour listening to "ronaldo, oooohooo, ronaldo" repeat, indefinately, you get the idea.
ronaldo missed the penalty, ronaldo nealry left, ronaldo got rooney sent off and laughed about it, ronaldo loves the excort girls
ronaldos a twat, stop loving him please

I thought both Keepers played excellent, and the save at the end by the Man U keep was sensational.

Yeah I think Cech is excellent, plus he was a good sportsman, trying to cool tempers etc.

Polish, good to see you on here, I wanted to rep you. :p

:p You beat me to it.

Cech had a cracking game, but I'm so relieved he's balls at penalties. Avram really should have brought Cudicini on instead of Belletti.

Edit: pah, must spread rep around.

But rarely performs in an England shirt! That's what pisses me off. He promises so much, yet delivers so little in a shirt I care about. Reason enough for scorn, of course!

Quite literally can't watch the final right now. Mother fuckers, I'm shitting bricks!

EDIT: 5 mins later, I'm going back in! Wish me luck unless you're a Chelski supporting scum sucker douche bag :p

It's not often I feel moved to call someone on the boards an idiot but how long are people going to keep up this bullshit? Moreover as a Norn Iron resident how do you feel qualified to talk about this?

I've lived within c.9 miles of Old Trafford since I was born (moved to Scunny recently though, gah!) and spent 4 years living less than a mile from Maine Rd and 2 years living in Longsight (about a mile from the 'Blue Camp'). Even those areas are rife with Utd fans. I'm not sure of the exact quote but Man City supporting comedian and Salford resident Jason Manford on Soccer am said, 'It's a myth that there are no Utd fans in Manchester the place is crawling with them [believeing they would lose the derby at OT] he went on to bemoan the fact that he wouldn't be able to get away from gloating Utd fans since they were everywhere. (heavily paraphrased I'm afraid). I'd suggest you go and see the open top bus parade, you'll be able to see exactly how many Utd fans don't live in Manchester, or do you think they all travelled up from Surrey or sped across on the Sea Cat?

It's an utter myth pedalled by people who have never lived in Manchester.

As to the cities, 20 years ago both were utterly depressed shitholes with nothing going for them. These days you'd struggle to recognise them such is the scope of the regeneration (same goes for Leeds and Newcastle); I'd happily live in either. The only problem with Liverpool is it's full of scousers, but then I would say that. The rivalry between the 2 cities is best left to the locals.

Apologies for Double post but did anyone see poor sad, deluded FFL in the post match interview: "I thought for the first 30 mins we dominated" What? In which game, is that the 30 mins in which you went a goal down and were played off the park."The best team didn't win" dilusional. You could barely have put a piece of bog roll between the 2 sides it was so close. You lose respect for footballers when they come out with this kind of nonsense, you lost, take it like a man, penalties suck but son't be disrespectful to the opposition and the fans by telling lies.

On a different note although I detest Chelsea and have no love for Terry at all. I felt really sorry form him

Do you mean Lampard? I reiterate, why is he called fat?

This is what he said as reported by the bbc at the time:
2303: "I think we dominated the game. Credit to United, they took control the first half an hour but once we woke up... we looked the strongest team. John slipped, it's very cruel. He's Mr Chelsea. He wants this more than anyone. I just want to say that not many centre-halfs would have taken that penalty. We'll be back. I feel emotionally drained after the last few weeks."
Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard

I agree with him for what it's worth. Man Utd stronger the first 30 minutes, Chelsea had the better for the rest of the match. And if you think he didn't take it like a man, he said "Credit to United" and told the truth.

Yes it's Lampard, he had some weight issues when he was at West Ham and it's stuck. Manifestly he isn't fat.

That is pretty much the opoosite of what he said to ITV, there was no credit to Utd and he claimed that Chelski had dominated the first 30 mins. I was so surprised at the time that I rewound it (Sky plus rules) and laughed at him again. If I remember correctly the reporter surmised from his statement "The best team didn't win?" to which he replied in the affirmative.

Sorry, you want football fans to be rational and think through the nuances of their chanting and raving? And if you can name me a premiership millionaire who ISN'T a twat, I'd be rather surprised. You're deriding people who support a team in a city they don't live in when you don't even live in the same country as Liverpool.........? I've got as much against the Surrey supporters and the prawn sandwich brigade as the next person, but pot, kettle, black springs to mind.

Scholes and Cech are two which spring to mind. But most premiership footballs ARE twats.

mezla calm down, I was winding you up.
Its a joke I use on my united scummy friends, when the camera pans and catches someone basically not white in a united shirt in the crowd I'll laugh and proceed to abuse them over how no-one from manchester likes Man U

I don't like any inner city scally's, be they scouse manc or wherever, take away their accents and they're the same people. I get irritated when my Man U supporting friends make out that the mancs are somehow superior to the scousers, and anytime (like when smyth broke his leg and the pool fans were singing to riise) we do anything its a "typically scummy scouse " thing to do, as if their home fans are better and wouldn't undertake sure an action. being in my early 20's most of my friends support man u because they were in the ascendancy (not to shadow though) when we were growing up, so they blinkered and followed them. out of the say 10/12 good friends I have as man u fans, only 2 of them come from man u supporting house holds, the rest are just taggers. My da's a city fan, my older sis arsenal, I've always supprted liverpool because of my uncle.
sorry to raise a pointless topic in the middle of CL topic :) but man united fans are generally hated accross the country, not their success, but for their twattish gloating.

ETA : most prem players are gits, the only few I have real respect for (the ENTIRE liverpool squad ;)) are paul scholes (no agent, no endorsments, jsut football) cech for being a jolly good sportaman. Fowler (showed his sportsman ship with the penalty against seaman, i know hes not prem anymore but tough) Alan Shearer and robbie keane

The sign/banner from the Chelsea fans saying "Scouser free zone" was surely appreciated by both Chelsea and Man Utd fans, there was a HUGE cheer from the area I was watching in; The University elements area, it was packed to about 200-250 capacity.
Mez, was it there when you were? ;) Almost certainly I'd suspect.

@ Macros - What about Giggs? He has been a consistently good player (with only the occasional screw up in the last 10 years) and is also a good sportsman and stuff.
759 games for united!!

Also, yes a lot of Man U fans are like that, but every team has it's bunch of retards following it...

To be fair to Macros, Liverpool is pretty much just an Irish enclave dropped into Lancashire hence the funny accent and the sectarianism

Funny accent is made up by wankers, my mum used to be a social worker in Moss Side in the 70s and she says they talked with Lancy accents then not like scals do now ie: nobb'edd.

No sectarianism in Manchester, most mancunians would struggle to find the Cathedral.
