I find that most inner city accents are quite similar - the Cardiff chav and Liverppol chav sound quite the same for instance. ;)

thats my point when my scum friends try to make out the scousers to be the lowest form of like, the chav scous scum they speak of is present in every city, just with slightly different annoying accents.

It certainly isn't confined to Liverpool... I like Liverpool as a city (seen as I have to go through it every time I go home...) but I also like Manchester as a city too...

Although having said that:
Why does the river Mersey run through Liverpool?
Because if it walked, it would get mugged. ;)

What do you call a scouse in a suit?
The defendant. :)

Continue your animal accent related discussion in the appropriate thread.

Really pleased with the result, couldn't have stood the gloating from my flatmates if Utd had lost, he doesn't really support chelsea, but united losing is good enough reason to gloat in his book.

Well, after scraping to a 0-0 at Liege, it's halftime at Anfield in the second leg and they are (to quote the BBC website) "massively second best."

Meanwhile Arsenal are 1-0 up (3-0 agg) at half time against Enschede, having missed a plethora of sitters in true Arsenal style. Van PErsie just missed an open goal from 10 yards after spending 15 seconds lining it up unchallenged. If Twente weren't so utter poo we'd be in trouble.

So, an unconvincing start to this CL campaign from the English teams, but it's only just started, so roll on the tourney!

It's ok, Gerrard will score from a goal-kick after Reina gets injured in the 97th minute...

28th minute of extra time... that's certainly leaving it a bit late

How is it that Liverpool are the luckiest, jammiest sods in Europe? The opposition miss sitters, they get given hosts of dodgy decisions, and they always scrape it at the death.

Mind you, their CL group draw was interesting. Arsenal's is pretty tough too, but Chavski have got the easy draw again.

Uhh...Aab is in group E. Looks like me and Gamet will be fighting each other for that coveted 3rd place. :D

And we get to drag mighty Man U all the way to little Aalborg...*giggles*

Nah, Celtic could do well in that group. As Gamet loves to point out, they perform better in europe :D

Ha, Chavski drew with Cluj. But that's not what's funny. It's the fact that on top of Deco, Carvalho anf Essien being injured, so is Drogba now! HA!

I know I shouldn't take pleasure in the pain of others but come on, it's Drogba. How many times have we seen him writhe around in fake agony? Some real agony is nice to see. The drog who cried wolf.

Who's everyone predicting to win this year?

I think it's between seven or eight teams, or maybe five or six, who could genuinely have a chance to win this year's cup.

It could be anyone of them, added to those four Inter, Real Madrid and Barcelona may fancy their chances.

I was there.

Rafas 250th game in charge
100th goal in europe under Rafa
Keanos First goal
Gerrards 100th goal.

What a lethal game to pick for my first european game at anfield!
