So much for porto being the soft draw.

What a game, hating to quote the godawful itv commentators, but possibly the match of the CL this season (I say possibly, because the pool demolishing madrid obviously wins :unworthy:) The RTE guys post match disection is fucking hilarious, I thoroughly recommend switching to it if you can post match from hence forth.

Im cautiously optimistic Arsenal might make the final this year. A slim away goal lead going into the home leg where we should be able to pick up the win (provided Fabianski can be a competent backup for Manuel Lemoncurdhair), at least you'd think so if we can draw playing awfully away.

And with Porto holding the advantage going into their home leg, there's a chance they could progress against an injury-ravaged ManUre. I dont think they will, but there's a much better chance than I'd have given them before. And I fancy Arsenal's chances against Porto much more than against Man U, regardless how well Porto did at Old Trafford.

Looks like Barca will demolish whoever they play in the final though.

Haha I hope Cech's positioning is like this on Saturday!

Great free kick by Aurelio, definite pen too. Skrtel was lucky it got given though, what a shocking miss the twat made from a yard out! Off to watch the 2nd half now, this game's getting bloody interesting.

Come on the scousers!

Well I think I would have been happy no matter who lost... So when ARSEnal get beat by Villareal tomorrow as Man U win, and Chavski get knocked out by Barca, things will be working to plan. :p

4-1 aggregate win for Arsenal, no hassle.

Fucking useless Porto, how do you score 2 at old trafford and none at home?!?

Ah well, another rubbish all-English semi final set up. I dont enjoy them so much because you know what you're gonna get, it's not the same excitement of the unkown quantity when you draw Hamburg or Ajax or whatever like in the old days. Seriously, what's the point of it being a European cup? Do we even need to invite teams from the other countries? There should be a tournament to decide 3 teams from the continent to join the English 4 and Barca in a 8 team CL proper.

Champions League is a money maker and the greedy clubs from some of the larger soccer nations wasnt satisfied with only 1 spot, so now they have 3 or 4 spots while other countries have none or have to go through qualifiers to even get there.
I must admit that i find your attitude alittle annoying since all that income makes it almost impossible for other teams than the already established to break the strangle hold.

Coming from Denmark i would happily go back to only 1 team from every nation if it would secure some much needed capital for 1 danish club each year.

Agreed, but it would get boring with only Man U from Britain every year. :p

What a fucking goal from Ronaldo. I've been moaning about him all season but when he's doing that you've just got to sit back and admire.
I can't carry it for you, but I can carry you.
