I have not posted in here before but i'm watching Chelski vs Barseymoaner.... fuck me, i've never seen so many diving, gesticulating faggots in my life.
They should be ashamed, every tackle has been followed by writhing agony, on both sides but particularly Barca. It really puts me off watching football, bunch of overpaid, whining fanny farts.
They really should have a panel doing postmatch reviews on diving/acting/cheating and then fine the wankers a weeks wages.
Ohh ! What a thrilling 0:0 spectacle, arse.

boring game.
Agree totally with the diving rolling about.
Only players who should have stayed down, drogba (for once) henry and marquez.
Full marks to the mexican, he was sore, he stuck his hand up and didn't bother with a triple barrel roll.
The commentator saying the game should have been stopped for ballack being down was farcical. the second barca broke ballack popped up like a fucking jack in the box, 100% fit and fine.
Over paid nancy boys, seems we need to bring Vinny back into the game to put manners in them
but on the match, chelsea closed shop and it worked, barca are poor at the back, if chelsea push for a goal at the bridge, they'll get it, but it will leave them open to barcas attack

I know Chelsea didnt score, but Barca's backline didnt look spectacular. And now Puyol is suspended iirc for the next leg, and Marquez looks ruled out. I dont know who their next backup is, but that's gonna put a big dent in things for them. Chelsea look favourites to me, although I'll still be cheering for Barca.
Normally I'd cheer for any English team, but I'll make an exception for the spuds and chavski, who I hate oh so very very much.

There's an idea, Harold Schumacher in goal, Vinny Jones and Terry Butcher at centre back, Stuart Pearce at left back, ( struggling for an evil right back), midfield of Souness, Bremner,Viera and Keane.
Any alternate suggestions, or ideas on a right back and who would partner John Hartson up front ?
( I bet Eyal Berkovich has still got a nervous twitch

You gotta include Chopper Harris and Big Duncan Ferguson in there somewhere. I used to love Big Dunc, you just knew that at some point in each game he was going to snap and do something stupid. He was a hard fucking bastard, that bloke.
I remember reading in the papers how two burgulars broke into his house while he was in it. He beat the living shit out of them, one of them spent three days in hospital afterwards iirc. He's also the only footballer I can think of who got sent to prison for something they did on the pitch, when he headbutted that bloke and got done for assault/repeat offending or somesuch.

Yep i'll def agree on Big Dunc, he was a fucking loon. Could you imagine trying to defend against him and Hartson ? Very messy.
I was thinking about Harris and also Joey Barton, then i remembered Barton's not hard, he just outs cigars on kids faces and assaults drunk people. More of a twat than a true hard man.
Who was that gorilla that played for Millwall a few years back, shaggy mullet, Terry something ?

Barcelona are the hottest team in Europe and to disagree with that would be just ridiculous.
Well Barcelona have done well against sides who can't defend, and I'd agree they look hot stuff and have a reputation as an amazing attacking side at the moment but I'd be inclined to wait till they have faced a Man Utd or a Liverpool before making a statement like that. Remember how blunt their much vaunted attack looked against a fairly workmanlike performance from Man Utd last year.
Now let me make no bones about this; I'm here to demonstrate how massively right I was a while back. If you al remember the 'best league' thread a few of us had an exchange with a poster called Shadowthrone (see above). I'd like to point out that I think last night's little shit-fest has proved my point nicely.
Although I sincerely hope Barca thrash Chelsea at the NF headquarters, sorry, the 'Bridge.

Barcalona play an excellent game of football, and can keep the ball for long periods of possession, yet they always seem to have difficulty finishing it. I noticed this against Man U last year, and again when they played Chelsea. They played some wonderful pieces, with great passing and movement, but seemed to lose it when they got near the goal. Admittedly, Cech is a fine keeper but I feel like they could have posed more of a threat...

I'm interested to see who Arsenal play tonight. If Denilson starts in the middle, we will lose, mark my words, as he offers nothing. It's such a shame Arshavin is cup-tied, but I think as he is, Wenger will prompt for Nasri on the left, Theo on the right and Denilson and Diaby in the middle, which is a shame as those last two are a right pair of useless plonkers. Also, if Wenger decided to play Silvestre over Djourou or Gibbs, we're fucked.
I think defensive injuries will prove the difference, and no RVP or Arshavin to take the place of the useless Denilson means we'll be worse than normal too. I just cant see Arsenal keeping a clean sheet if Manure come out looking for the win. On the other hand, I can definitely see Arsenal scoring, it's the one thing we have been able to do lately, and Adebayor only seems to try in CL games so he should prove a real handful. I reckon it'll end up 2-1 to Manure, but a 1-1 draw would be brilliant for Arsenal.

Well I'm satisfied with a 1-0 victory, in context I think Utd will be dissapointed not to have buried the Arse tonight but I think a clean sheet and a victory is all that is required from a home 1st leg. I'd fancy Utd to lose 2-1 at the Emirates.
From Arsenals point of view I think they might have been dissapointed with 1-0 prior to the tie, but considering how they were outplayed in the 1st half they might think they have got away with it a little there.

United deserved the win, Arse were very suspect at the back sometimes (Especially when united pushed down the left flank), but young gibbs is looking very promising.
I can't see Emerates being much different of an affair, Arsenal just don't look coherent at the minute.
And why would you ever bring BENDNTER on in the biggest game of the season, surely eduardo should have been introduced at that point instead~?

So, a 2-1 defeat at the Emirates would get Man U through? I could never get the away goal rule, it only counts if the aggregate is a draw, right?
Still, happy that we won, I really hope Barca beat Chavski at SB cos I fancy our chances more against them than Chavski in the final.

I was filled with so much anger at that team last night. Silvestre, instead of Djourou? Really? Even though the last 3 games Silvestre has played he has been absolutely dire?
Then we have a left mid in Nasri and a CM in Diaby. I know, let's swap their positions! Yeah, that'll work. The whole night Diaby let Gibbs, a guy who's only played a couple games before, have to go one on two against Ronaldo and whatever player happened to be with him. When you consider Rooney was constantly doubling up against Walcott, the fact we were doing the opposite against Ronaldo seems beyonf bizarre.
And Cesc is NOT A FUCKING SUPPORT STRIKER. He's said he prefers to play CM. He's demonstrably better in CM. The only time he's played well there has been against Boro, and they're fucking Boro. Huth is not Ferdinand. Why play your best CM out of position in a game where you're going to need control of the midfield? I just dont understand it.
But all of those things I could have dealt with. Hell, even if we'd have lost 5-0 (as it looked like we were going to at first), I could have dealt with it and been ok with it, IF THE PLAYERS HAD FUCKING TRIED.
Watch Stoke play a game and you can see from the effort their players want to try to win. This is a CL semi-final, and yet only 2 or 3 of the Arsenal players actually looked as if they were semi-bothered at all. Diaby was so lacsadaisical with his passing, first touch, and effort that it was shocking. Adebayor, I appreciate he was up top alone against 2 of the best CBs in the world, but he just did not look arsed. I lost count of the number of times that, instead of closing down the defender on the ball, he would slooooowly jog towards them, stop 5 yards short, and wait for them to play it.
Most of the players looked as if tracking the man or marking (especially for the goal, 3 unmarked men in the box in a CL semi, are you mad?!!) really wasnt worth their time, and I dont think at any point in the game it looked as if Arsenal actually wanted to score.
I appreciate Man U have better players. They've won the league, are the CL holders, and have spent big money well to get established world-class players. And so you can accept it if they outclass you. But only if the players actually give it a shot.
Arsenal were bloody lucky to only lose 1-0, Almunia saved their backsides.
But there is NO WAY they'll keep a clean sheet in the home fixture. And you dont score 3 against Man Ure. An away goal was needed - hell, you'd have thought the importance of the away goal had been established in the CL by now - and they didnt even try for it. There's still a faint hope, but realistically I just cant see anyone but Man U making the final now.

totally agree. its my firm beliew that they should hire 2 seven foot by four foot blackmen(not being racist, just that u get some huge black guys) arm them with large oak staffs and every time some one dives they should be aloud to run on the pitch and beat the hell out of them. give them something to really cry about!
