I do think that he spent too much time on the mind games and should have stepped on the gas 20 seconds prior to that knockout flurry and went on the attack. He may still have been champion.

I am really sad to see that he's decided to forgo a rematch, but he is now 38...Maybe with a bit of TRT he can still get back in there Im just saying...

Anyway its the end of an era.

Anderson's clowning manages to both entertain and enrage me. I wanted so many of his fights to end with his knock-out, but he's usually just too good. Not this time. He probably was the best, and might still be.

I hope he takes two or three months off, recharges and then comes back at 205 for a fun fight, before going seriously at Weidman's title.

I dont think thats how its going to play. Dana White is pretty emphatic that a rematch is the 1st thing on the cards for Weidman/Silva. Its a big card and theres money to be made...and he usually gets what he wants.

Anderson Silva *was* the greatest UFC fighter.

His attitude in the octagon is hurting his reputation as far as I'm concerned. Not to mention losing to Weidman, who hasn't beaten anybody worth his weight in salt in his 10-0 record.

Jose Aldo, hands down.

Weidman beat Maia and Munoz before knocking out Silva quite decisively. It's not his fault that he didn't get to fight Bisping, Sonnen, Marquardt, Okami or whomever before beating Anderson. All he did was beat those in front of him and decisively so.

I think Aldo is the most skilled fighter in all phases of the game in the UFC. His wrestling is quite good and the Cuban teacher Nova Uniao has had for a few years now has really gotten through to him in terms of in-cage application and timing.

Velasquez is a monster. Cormier looked damn good and holy shit was the Milindez vs. Sanchez fight a brawl. I love how Rogan always claims random slugfests are the greatest fights in UFC history.

Yeah...rogan is the king of hype...

Great card though...no bad fights really...unless you count the cormier/nelson fight...

cormier continues to win but not in a fantastic fashion...in all fairness though Mir and nelson are definitely not slouches...Nelson's grapple/ground defense kept cormier from getting a highlight reel ground and pound...though you would expect the winner of a heavy weight grand Prix to be able to stop Mir who has always had trouble with big power standup fighters and nelson who never seems to be in top condition...that's the trouble with hype, it never lives up to reality

Cain looked excellent of course and dos Santos is a tough son of a bitch...

He definitely needs to earn his way to the top in light heavy...

Only thing...Jones has fought all the "old school" competition and made them look bad....now he's working his way through the "new school" of mma fighters...the ones who have trained all aspects of mma....gustafsson, in my opinion, has showed that Jones has more trouble with the new than with the old guard...

In my opinion, cormier is "old school"...starting out as a wrestler and slowly rounding out his game...

I wouldn't mind seeing cormier beat chael sonnen just for fun..if he can't beat chael then he probably is much more hype than reality.

Ronda...I'm a fan but not a big fan...I wish she would knock someone out just to show she can...if she can...its my impression she's spent alot of time around the Diaz brothers...I despise their attitudes and what they bring to the sport...they have definitely been exposed for their lack of flexibility in the ring...and I think that Rhonda may also be heading that way...she's real cute with her hair up though =)

Vitor vs hendo...gotta be honest...I am not interested in seeing anymore hendo fights (or shogun rua). Vitor is a little more interesting but after the Jon Jones fight I think vitor has shown that he is just too unevolved to be anything but a gate keeper...both were excellent in their day but those days are outdated

Gsp vs Hendricks...this is going to be a tense fight...gsp has had trouble with big power before...and Hendricks is all about the power...Johny has excellent wrestling but gsp has pure mma wrestling...an advantage in my opinion...I'm picking gsp overall due to the ring experience...if he don't get knocked the fuck out, gsp is going to take him deep and no one can keep up with him in that area.

Evans vs sonnen....to be honest I don't like to watch either fighter. However, I despise chael sonnen but I believe he will take the fight to rashad and put him on his back for a few rounds...I got chael by decision...

Macdonald vs lawler...never have cared for Lawler...MacDonald can beat him if he stays away from the power...I have no doubt about that.

Kosheck vs woodley...I've always liked kosheck but a broken orbital is hard to come back from...I'm not sure why he is still fighting...

I think machida should fight 3 or 4 top rankers in the next couple of months just to earn his way up...then let's see him fight the winner of wiedman/silva

I am really glad to see the women get more respect. They train and fight just as hard as the men and deserve the recognition. I doubt my daughters will become mma fighters but its nice to know that they have that option.

I doubt that. My daughter plays soccer, volleyball and basketball and loves it. I actually had her in wrestling when she was 4 but she has never wanted to do it again.

My son is doing some mma as a hobby but he doesn't have a mean bone in his body. He prefers soccer.
