Can you believe he and Wanderlei fought?

I was kind of surprised Stann had that much desire to stand and wang with Wand. It didn't get him to a good place, but hey, at least we got one last blood-spattered Wanderlei celebrating in Saitama scene for the memories.

I actually thought it was a good strategy for Stann; Wanderlei's chin has been suspect lately, Stann has heavy hands and a solid chin. But, as we all know, in a slugfest, it can be anyone's night. Pissed Comcast doesn't carry Fuel and only got to watch the highlights the day after on mmajunkie.

fight of the night goes to henderson v condit.

Such an exciting fight for the 1st 2 rounds and then slowed down somewhat for the third cos henderson hurt his killer left hand. real edge of the seat stuff!

A reason to watch Invicta FC MMA events?
12 second flying armbar on a PRELIM fight?

Her victory dance could have done with some improvement. I have absolutely no idea what she was doing on the floor, it almost looked like she was having a fit.

Good arm bar though.

You guys need to catch the UFC on Fox main event tonight. It starts at 8 pm and goes until 10. Top to bottom, huge levels of talent with an emphasis on the smaller fighters (way more action).
I survived the Permian and all I got was this t-shirt.

Would have been great if FOX Boston didn't cut it off before the end.....Posted Image

Oof. That's a bad one. I think if you have Twitter and you tell Dana White this (and he actually catches it), you'll get some action going.

Matt Brown and Josh Thompson really impressed. Cormier not so much. Will be interesting to see him at LHW if he can survive the cut.

UFC 159: Jones destroys Sonnen in the 1st round, realizes he has a cringe worthy broken big toe during post fight interview... WTF! His big toe was twisted 1/4 turn from it's natural position. OMG! #nausea #LookAway!

Enjoyed Jones vs. Sonnen.
Every time we build up to a Jones fight I manage to convince myself that he's all hype, and will get beat this time. Then I see him fight and think "Oh, yeah. That's why he wins all the time: he is simply monstrous good."
His toe did indeed look rather badly fecked, though. I thought Rogan did a good job, keeping him talking when Jones was showing some pretty clear symptoms of the onset of shock.

I saw a quote from SOnnen about the difference between fighting Jones and Silva. He maintains that he was winning most of the time he was in cage with SIlva, but was not winning for a second while fighting Jones.

In Sonnen's first fight with Silva this is certainly true. He had Silva beat on the ground for the first round at least. I haven't seen his fight with Jones yet, but I'm always a little more impressed every time I see Jones fight.

Bought some old MMA DVD's this week. Pride's 2005 Middleweight tournament (205lb), PrideFC 30 and UFC 52 (Couture V Liddell 2). All for £11. Got every single PrideFC and UFC event on DVD up to August/April 2005 now. Totally pscyhed to watch the Final Conflict 2005 dvd even though I have seen the fights numerous times online. 8)

That Pride intro music. . . Fucking awesome. Still use it when exercising now. 8) I can't remember who used it as walkout music one time after it got bought out and they went to the UFC. That was hilarious though and also when they got told they couldn't use it anymore. xD

I wouldn't be doing a Pride FC intro post justice without a Takada+Drums+Diapers picture.

That was the President of the organisation. Can you imagine Dana White doing that?!

Takada was always an entertainer. He had quite a few fixed fights as well.

I think Rampage Jackson walked out to the PRIDE theme once. Wand coming out to Sandstorm still gets me too.
