I like how vague it feels. How she seems to stumble through major events in a drunken haze and it takes a little bit of effort on my part to figure out who she is talking to and how it affects the story as a whole.
Just kind of a cool plot device.

I agree. I've got nothing against her drunkenness, but making it all the way through enemy territory with minimal losses and general success seems a bit much.

He's just such a bum, and then everyone is all giving him excuses like "He's just thinking draconean" or some crap like that. But they're wrong to enable him like that. Just because he's the third kid in the family who looks just like his father and therefore is a constant reminder to his entire race that the father they deny is indeed their father, doesn't mean he can't maintain some half-decent manners and try *not* leading people like Seren Pedac on long quests just to kill them at the destination despite the fact that he could've gotten there without her and left her to live quietly in Lether somewhere instead.

I suppose you could be right. But Silchas had a deal going with the Azath, so perhaps one of the terms was "All other concerns are secondary."

Karsa. I found his POV extremely distasteful.

Apart from him I don't particularly hate anyone but it is true that the whole Whiskeyjack - Korlat romance thing came out of the blue. Lamest romance in Malazan. Even Hellian and Urb (I think that's the name) have more spark.
