I think Tehol is out, since TtH is supposed to be set on Genabackis. Fiddler and QB probably as well, for the same reason. I don't really see Anomander Rake or Kruppe becoming bad guys and Karsa Orlong is already hated by significant part of readers so who is left? Icarium or ST are definitely a possibility, so is perhaps Gruntle.

I don't see why it could not be Rake. A lot we hve found out about Rake starting in HOC paints him out to be a possible A-hole. He certainly has to be the biggest dead beat dad in the Malazan universe.

He seems to have just abandoned a great deal of people that have counted on him.

Moroch Nevath is the Prince Quillas' bodyguard in MT, and is top-dog swordsman under Brys (supposedly). He's killed by Rhulad in when he challenges Rhulad in Letheras and draws, i guess (although Rhulad technically does survive lol).

btw my most hated characters would have to be the Errant (because he was behind the murder of Trull, who was my fav character), Kallor (because he killed Whiskeyjack lol) and Cutter, for being so damn emo (yes, i know he lost his lady-love but still); he was way better when he was Crokus.

Favourite characters (originally 2nd) is ST, because he's just so damn sneaky and eccentric (insane would probably be a more fitting term lol) and Tehol (originally 3rd), because he's such a pleasure to read.

Please, there is a difference between characters you hate, and PoVs you hate reading. You can hate Karsa as a character, as much as you want, but the things he says and do... hilarious (solving everything with brute force, and surprising again and again with insights and a deeper understanding of things).

In general, PoVs that have little to no impact on the "big picture" tend to get boring/annoying. Unless they are comic reliefs in some way or other. The Mhybe and Patriotists are given a lot of pages that are... not as giving as others.

I am sometimes amazed at how different the characters "feel" when I read their PoVs... Compared to most fantasy, SE's characters are as 3-dimensional as they come.

When you guys list Felisin, do you mean all Felisin, or after she is "reborn"? I really enjoy reading pre-Apocalypse Felisin and think the character development is really good, but I think she starts getting a little stale after that.

I think for most people it's the other way around...
Thing is for me it's not like the Mhybe, who's just tedious - I enjoy reading Felisin in DHG, but she's a proper bitch in it.
Like the Errant. Love reading about the character, hate the character.

Koryk was a weird character. I didn't really know him in HoC, but i enjoyed the way he tried to resurface his people's old culture (Seti i believe?). anyway, I found that he was just messed up in RG, and didnt really like him. Maybe it was because all of the BH's marines became bloodthirsty monters after months in a bush, but I dont know.

I second that. Hellian's parts are a little overkill for me. It was amusing at first but now it's become too unbelievable...yes...even for fantasy

I meant the original Felisin. The one who treated Heboric (and everyone else) like garbage.
