Come now... that is applicable to any and all religions. The whole point of faith is to make statements and believe in them without evidence. A religion that bases all its statements on facts/ proven and provable suppositions would be... er... science.

Judaism/ Christianity/ Islam/ Hinduism/ Zoroastrianism/ Wicca/ (any other here) all make some pretty ridiculous claims that can be disproved.

You're absolutely right.

There isn't a religion in the world that cannot have at least some of it's theories/beliefs disproved by facts and science.

There was no "lost" tribe of Israelites here in America.

Jonah was not swallowed by a whale. Impossible.

I could go on.

From my viewpoint, all religions have tenements or ideas that are not realistic...but that is where Faith comes in I guess.

Exactly. Any religion can be picked apart, and you can find strange things in all of them. I'm just focusing on Mormonism here because, well, that's what the thread is about.

Cool.

I've never got why so many people are freaked out by Mormons. In the Deep South they are viewed as "extra" wierd...and that is saying something down there...where anything different is wierd.
