Hi guys
I thought I'd let you know about an interview Q&A Steven Erikson gave my newspaper's website recently in which he talks about all sorts of things, including who he'd choose as his shaved knuckles in a hole and why Karsa is nothing like Conan!
It can be viewed at the link below.

Hope you like it.

Pfft, I knew that already. I am not excited about the interview. No, I am not. *trembles*
Yah, yah! I just have to read it, okay!

Excellent, really informative
How does what is apparently a small town paper get such an interview?

Nice article, I like his "the hobbit should have bought it" theory.
Loved this part:

Imagine my disbelief when someone asserted that the character of Icarium was based on the comic-book Hulk. Apparently, because both have green skin and a tendency towards rage. My jaw dropped. The things people believe!

Don't look now, but I think there's something weird attached to the bottom of my posts.

Excellent interview, very information. Looking forward to Toll the Hounds, being back in Darujistan/Black Coral.
Seems we'll be seeing a lot more of Nimander then.
ROFL! who said Icarium is like the Hulk? That thought has never crossed my mind, and I can't really see hardly any similarities. It's like saying any character that has red eyes, the writer must of copied the general depiction of the devil/satan.

Honestly who can't see the obvious comparison between Iccy and Hulk? I don't mean the skin, screw that, but the rage. Iccy in BH seemed to get more and more powerfull during the battle... which is what the Hulk does when he's in a fight aswell.
Interesting that SE choose Gothos for protection if he had to choose an ascendant... Not Rake, not Ruin, Not an elder god... not even Nefarias Bredd or Graymane

Pretty good interview, thanks!
"Karsa Orlong is not Conan. He's the very opposite of Conan."
Hmm.. I agree. Karsa is a barbarian and so is Conan but that's where the comparison should end.
Loved the Hulk-Jaghut analogy. Now why did THAT never cross my mind?
Hehe.Loved SEs reply more.

Hmm... Anyone know what it means to get cold-cocked by a bear?

I think the usual meaning is that he got knocked unconscious by a bear, or it could be that he got caught by surprise by the bear.
