Id say she wasnt actually a soletaken Eleint. i know its on the tree but that has faults and also her description in RG shows that she doesnt really need a soletaken form. evewryone else does because there human sized (ish) but KIL is as big as a dragon. She just cant fly.

Also as far as im concerned the best bet is shes under Drift Avalii. Thats why the thrones unoccupied

Silchas' appearance hasn't struck anyone as particularly draconic and he's more draconic than most....even Rake. Spite does but that's just her. And think of that Galain Lord in GotM...he was a Soletaken dragon....appearances can be very deceiving Jheral. Barring the cape she wore as a symbol of her Soletaken form, Olar Ethil was not described as draconic, and even Silverfox had to ask her what her veered form was. So she could be... but the ottataral thing's a wild speculation. I like it though ;)

Well, it wasn't so much her physical appearance that I was referring to, as it was her way of dealing with Scabandari. Then again, she might have veered back into her other form, whatever that one's supposed to be, before Gothos got there.

Maybe I was a bit unclear. It's what you get from trying to write anything on a forum when you've been up for about 28 hrs. :)

Edit:

Reaper said:

“In other words, you want to leave the Throne of Shadow unoccupied.”
“Yes.”
He thought for a time, then he nodded. “Agreed.”
“Do not wrong me, Soletaken.
“I shall not. Are you ready, Kilmandaros?”
“They will forge alliances,” she said. “They will all war against us.”
Anomandaris shrugged. “I have nothing better to do today.”
The two Ascendants then walked through gate, and, together, they closed the rent behind them. There were other paths, after all, to this realm. Paths that were not wounds.
Arriving within Kurald Emurlahn, they looked upon a ravaged world.
Then set about cleansing what was left of it.

Her use of the word "Soletaken" doesn't seem, to me at least, like she is talking about something that they have in common.

Kilmandaros couldn't attack the flying dragons because she was earth-bound. I think this rules out her being a Soletaken Eleint.

Dolorous: why are you so sure she couldn't Dolo? She growled at them but it could have been a warning. How comes she and Mael brought down Scabandari then? There had been successive clashes so it wasn't just one surprise attack that brought him down or took him on. He was in his veered form and must have been to war with 2 Elders in successive clashes.

There was also a string of dead dragons on the ground in KE. Maybe she killed them....I certainly don't know for sure and maybe they were victims of the civil war in KE.

Jheral, that's a good point about her use of the word Soletaken. Now I'm beginning to shift under influence again. I'm now thinking that the FA we've seen don't use weapons but use their arms...like Kilmandaros seems to do.

Tiam: "Also as far as im concerned the best bet is shes under Drift Avalii. Thats why the thrones unoccupied"

The Throne's unoccupied because ST hid it there and it was being guarded by Darist, before Traveller and St took over. Why would Kilmandaros be uder DA and why would this therefore mean the Throne's unoccupied? It seems to me that if this was so, noone would have needed to worry about the pesky Edur in the first place.

It's implied in her discription and shape that she couldn't "follow" the dragons. from the sky. She doesn't have any wings and even though we've heard of Quick Ben flying through the air, I hardly think Killy is a user of Serc. But she probably could have pulled them down from the sky in a Raest like manouvre - I just think she had more pressing objectives then and there than killing a few feral dragons.

The dragons were a part of the destruction of KE. Killy was protecting KE from further harm so I dont think she did it. I think the Dragons are most likely the royal family that Scabby assasinated.

People have theorized that the presence "that mustn't be awakened" under Drift Avalii, could be Killy. Before people thought that it could have been Scabby himself, but after the "Killy - protector of shadow" prologue part, people think she might be sleeping under the throne.

Well she seems brutal enough for some not to want her awakened...her cult could have been one of the bloodiest, given her brutal temperament. But if it is her, I wonder if she's asleep, or waiting? Maybe she foresaw the healing of KE and wants to/has to play some vital role in it.

Iirc, the sleeper under Drift Avalii was ref'd as a 'him', so Kili's out of the running unless Darist somehow missed some of her more obvious attributes.

- Abyss, being subtle there.

Well there's hardly any need Abyss...they were hanging almost to the ground. I wondered about that myself: when you're fighting dragons and who knows what else, doesn't it get a little...inconvenient?? Thought about the FA and their 'harnesses'..... anyway

So it's not Kilmandaros. I wonder where she is then. Mael's old fighting partner who called him a boiled crab! Nice...
