Well, according to wiki he did lmao :p Aye, they're an awesome band though. I love In Keeping Secrets Of Silent Earth: 3, one of my fav albums.

Blind Guardian - Dead Sound Of Misery

I was a huge BG-Fan a couple of years ago, and I mean HUGE! There was a time when I only listened to BG, not much else. However, A Night At The Opera was such a gigantic letdown, after that it was never really the same. Don't get me wrong, I still think that Somewhere Far Beyond, Imaginations, especially Imaginations, and Nightfall are some of the best albums I ever had the joy to listen to, but somehow that BG-feeling was gone. After listening to the first single of their last album, I didn't even bother to buy A Twist In The Myth.

A couple of days ago I bought the album for a few bucks, and I'm torn: It is not the load of shite I expected it to be and some of the songs actually are more than solid, but overall it is nowhere near those 3 albums I mentioned before. Don't get me wrong, I do not expect BG to do the same music over and over again and I am actually quite impressed that they never really sound the same. But while most of the music is very good, the constant over-dubbing technique of the singer, Hansi Kürsch, just plain sucks, sucks balls HARD! And why, for the love of god, did he chose to sing one or two octaves higher since Nightfall? On Imaginations his voice is just plain GODLY, fuck. It really bothers me.

Sorry for the rant.
