You know what's really fun about being a Colt fan? (At the same time that it's infuriating?) We HAVE NO IDEA who we are going to draft. Only that it's the top person on Polian's board, which is as crystal clear as London on a regular foggy day. I say that, because I've seen some mocks with Moreno falling to the Colts.
Trouble arrives when the opponents to such a system institute its extreme opposite, where individualism becomes godlike and sacrosanct, and no greater service to any other ideal (including community) is possible. In such a system rapacious greed thrives behind the guise of freedom, and the worst aspects of human nature come to the fore....

He'd be perfect for them. But they already have Addai.....unless they are planning on letting him go in Free Agency.

San Diego would be a good fit, or the Saints.

I want to see how good Crabtree will be in the NFL.

And I love how all the scouts love Sanchez now...w/ his whole 15 starts in college....

Addai is not beloved by Colts fans as of right now. He was the 3rd favorite back behind Dominic Rhodes (who they might still bring back, depending upon the draft), and Mike Hart who we LOVED before he went down with a knee injury.

If Moreno falls, the Colts would draft him and let Addai go as soon as possible, I think. But, then again, I have no clue whatsoever as to what Polian is going to do. Common wisdom is that if Peria is left we got DT, and if not we go Nicks, Britt, or maybe Bey at WR.

Colts always need Defensive help, so I could see that.

Though who will replace Marvin? I think you guys should go after Mohammed Massaquoi in the 3rd round if he's still there, perfect #2 to compliment Wayne and Gonzalez.

Yes, we can always use defensive help. No the last first round defensive player we drafted? Marlin Jackson, in 2005 and before that it was Freeney in 2003 (I think). Polian feels that the "best" defensive prospects generally go before the Colts draft in the 1st round (nearly always 25-32), and he, therefore, finds value at offensive skill positions. It's always fun on draft-day, that's for sure.

As to the Chargers, if they want to run the wheels off of LT, like some are speculating, then I can certainly see them drafting a RB in the 1st round, especially if someone like Moreno falls to them. (Also, a general bitchy rant... the Colts should not be drafting behind the Chargers.... I find that patently unfair).

oo just read (im late I know) T.O is going to be with the bills for at least a year... he might work better with a team that is not in the lime light such as the bills

Perhaps. He has 1 good and 1 fantastic wide-receiver's opposite him (Harding & Evans, respectively), and a decent QB throwing to them. If the D is up to snuff, Buffalo could challenge for a wild-card spot.

Buffalo should've made the playoffs this year....they choked it away. If T.O. isn't pure evil, he should mellow as he gets older. He's not the explosive player he was 3 years ago...but still talented.

I think the Dolphins crash back to a 7-9 team...perhaps 8-8 this year.

It's always harder when your inter-conference foes, outside your division, are the Colts, Ravens, and Broncos, as opposed to the Texans, Bengals, and Raiders.

And I don't buy the whole "Bill Parcells is a saviour genius" crap. The guy hasn't won a superbowl in 20 YEARS.

Maybe not, but he generally does a good job of taking his teams into the playoff in their second year. Will they do anything after that? Maybe not. But taking a sub-500 team to the playoffs is, will, and should be seen as a good coaching/managerial job done well.

Also, I have no idea how he does it, so the mystery is intriguing to me.

I think he gets a lot of credit because of this "mystique" built up by the media. Plus ESPN loves him.

I'm interested to see how the 49ers do under a full year of Mike Singletary.

Yes. I agree. I am a big Singletary fan... hard not to be when you were from Indiana during the "Monster of the Midway" years. I think he'll do a good job... for some reason he has always seemed very inspiring to me.

He just seems like the type of man you want to follow.

I'm curious to see who drafts Josh Freeman, this year's Joe Flacco.

I remain a big time Nate Davis fan, despite his precipitous fall from the first 2 rounds into relative... obscurity.

Freeman, I see as a 2nd round pick... he is too much of a "prospect" in my mind... but I might be wrong. If you want to know how weird QB things get, the Colts brought in Mark Sanchez for private workout. The odds of Sanchez falling tot the Colts is probably 1 in 50. The odds of the Colts drafting Sanchez if he fell to them are 1 in 1/10000.

You’ve never heard of the Silanda? … It’s the ship that made the Warren of Telas run in less than 12 parsecs.
