The best part is that Cutler will be horrible in Chi-town because their offense isn't anywhere near as good as the one he is leaving.
Lets watch Orton have a 4k season and rock everything, and perhaps it will be clear that it is Chi-town that sucks, not the QB.
PS - Vikings are still top of the North, we have football spice as our QB.

While I think Cutler is a little annoying, you can't deny the kid has talent. If the bears get a decent number 1 receiver they are going to toast everybody in that division. And the Vikings do not have a QB, that kid is a poor man's Michael Vick.

Bears D is crapping out, and their running game is going to be even worse this year.
If they get some good receivers they could be a threat, but that won't happen.

Haha. I agree the D is fading, but they'll finally have a potent offense.
Should be a MUCH better division. Just think if the Lions draft Stafford and actually protect him, the NFC North will be an OFFENSIVE league.....yikes!

It won't happen.
All North games will be 21-18 like always.
It is all the other divisions that should be afraid.

If the Bears can't score more points w/ Cutler as QB (and if they have decent receivers) then that division will never change. I think we are seeing a change though.....more offense. No matter how bad traditionalists want the NFC Central (it will always be that to me, not NORTH) to stay 3 yards in a cloud of dust football....the league is changing. Most fans want 35+ point shootouts.

I'm sure the AFC South, East, and NFC East are shaking in their boots!

Cutler is an Indiana kid, so I like to root for him. He's a good quarterback, but I don't doubt that the wide-receivers helped him somewhat (at least Marshall).
Denver is actually in a fantastic position. Even if Orton doesn't work (and I'll be surprised if he excels, sorry kids, but the AFC is better than the NFC), next year's QB class will be better than this year's by far.
Trouble arrives when the opponents to such a system institute its extreme opposite, where individualism becomes godlike and sacrosanct, and no greater service to any other ideal (including community) is possible. In such a system rapacious greed thrives behind the guise of freedom, and the worst aspects of human nature come to the fore....

I'm hoping the Falcons weren't just a one year wonder. I want us to draft DEFENSE, as our offense looks pretty solid, though we need a good Tight End.
My prediction for the Bears:
10-6 or 11-5 w/ Cutler throwing for around 3,700 yards. They'll still run the ball a lot.

a poor cowboys fan here and alas, even with TO gone, I see choppy waters ahead, i think dropping Wade Phillips and possible building a replacement for Romo might be in need...
alas ,after this season past season i say watch out for the falcons and ravens...they will be looking for blood...not to mention the cardinals... but i think they will do as well

Falcons will get hit with the NFC South Curse, which isn't really a curse at all, it's just the fact that the top 2 teams play MUCH tougher schedules than the bottom two. The NFC is much more polarized by schedule differences than the AFC where you can pencil in the Steelers, Colts, and Pats for 10-12 wins nearly every year, despite schedule strength.

I think the AFC dominance is waning, much like the NFC dominance faded in the late 90's....it's cyclical.
Any thoughts on how Brady will do coming off surgery?
and Zanth....Wade Phillips has got to go, and you'll be better w/o Team Obliterator.

We shall see... would you like to play in the AFC East or South? I'll admit that the NFC is getting better. There is no reason it shouldn't given the relative disadvantage the elite AFC teams have had to face in the last 4 to 5 drafts.
Brady... will be interesting. I think Cassell showed us, last year, just how much of a system there is in place in New England. Tom Brady is a good quarterback.. but let's see how Matt Cassell is this year before we start annointing T.B. (who is a HoF, no matter what) the greatest ever (says completely biased P.M. fan!).

I don't know....Brady has that "clutch" quality that you can't teach. All QB's are a mix of talent and the "system" they are in. If Marino wouldn't have refused to have a hiqh quality RB w/ him he wouldn't of put up the HUGE numbers he did, right?
I still say Montana is the best ever.

I say Manning. Only the lack of a defense has kept him from winning more super-bowls...
What? I'm not biased. Not at all! Okay... I'm biased. A lot.
@Zanth... yes. You'd be amazed how spoiled Colts fans are, though. We've won 12 games a year for the past 6 years. And only one SB to show for it. The only thing that makes it somewhat reasonable is that we are also living in the same era as fantastic Pittsburgh and New England teams. San Diego, who for some reason owns the Colts, can go drop off into the Pacific. (Excluding you, Prime).

If the eagles get smart and draft a big back and another WR, they will win that division next year.

Perhaps. NY - Plax is nothing what they used to be. Washington is always interesting. Dallas... is like the American Olympic Basketball teams of 2002 and 2006, all talent no team.
