GTFO of this thread with your basketball.

So, Pro-Bowl

whos going to be the MVP?

LOL. Not a fan of B-Ball? :D

Who is going to be the MVP? Who cares? The Pro Bowl is a joke. The only thing the NFL produces that isn't interesting...nobody ever tries because unlike other sports...you have a MUCH higher chance of getting hurt playing an exhibition of football.

But I'll say.....Peyton Manning, what the hell.

Rodgers will be fine. He was highly drafted, and has had plentyo f time to learn the offense and the game. Will he be the next Brett Favre? Probably not. Can he get them back to the playoffs? I think so.

Rodgers is a Cal/Tedford product.. Notorious for system qbs that don't work out in the big time. He could be gold, but don't get your hopes up

I agree, except none of the other Cal/Tedford products got to sit for a couple of years and get the system knocked out of their brains...so I think he has a much better chance than others before him. He wasn't immediately thrown to the wolves...

Nothing wrong with a system qb if he can learn your system. Which, seeing as he has nothing else to do, shouldn't be problem.

Quarterbacks are by no means a perfect science. You sometimes draft one high and get Peyton Manning...other times you get...Ryan Leaf.

But in later rounds you get QBs like Brady...so who the hell knows what determines how good they will be?

Yeah, a lot of the best qbs come form random, small schools. Being drafted high is not an indicator of coming success every time. Look at Brady Quinn, aka Ryan Leaf 2.0.

QBs take time to develop - it took Eli 4 years to get there. Of course this means I have to take my own advice and continue to tolerate Tavaris Jackson. :D

Bah, Tavaris shows signs of being ok, when there is no pressure....

Of course, with someone like AP rushing the ball for you, how you can't look good is beyond me...

well, it usually is either intelligence, athleticism, or pro style college offense. so you have cutler types(smart schools), vick/young types, and usc/michigan types.

unfortunately for michigan, their years as a good qb school are coming to an end. spread offense qbs just arent nfl talent.. i wonder if mallet has transferred already.

Yes he has. I believe he might be a razorback now, but I wouldn't swear to it. It doesn't hurt my feelings that heisman caliber talent is leaving Micigan.

Mallet has transferred to Arkansas. Usually you have to sit out a year after transferring...but he is appealing to the NCAA to waive that year of ineligibility.

Spread system QB's won't be successful in the NFL unless the NFL dramatically changes...which happens every 20 years or so. You are probably going to see a lot of teams try New England's offensive approach...or at least elements of it next year.

The Pro Bowl is boring because none of the players really care. I like the idea of playing the Pro Bowl the Sunday BEFORE the Super Bowl. They should televise all the skill challenges in prime time as well. I'd watch it. I love watching the QB competitions and the 40 yard dash contests.

Can't wait for the Combine and NFL DRAFT!!! God I love Football.

I don't think so, this guy reminds me so much of the great Seahawks RB #28 Curt Warner I just hope that he can avoid the sophomore jinx that he had, torn ACL 1st quarter of 1st game in his 2nd year.

To take the MVP he will have to produce for 16+ games next year and so will his team and that's your problem ...... the Vikes suck

If they can get someone decent at QB, they'll be ok next year.

They are definitely going to have to get better play out of Tavaris Jackson. I love watching Peterson played but I am also worried about the frequency of his injuries.

The Chargers should be better next year. I wouldn't be surprised if they could finally break through and get to the Super Bowl. Just depends on what Indy and NE do.

As for the NFC....I don't even think the Giants will make the playoffs next year. It is always like that in the NFC. Look at the Bears...they stunk it up this year.
