Indeed. You hear the full story? That his phone line was snipped and nothing was missing from his house? Dosen't seem like a robbery gone wrong to me.
Especially since they went into the bedroom. Had silencers and didn't wake up his kid, who was sleeping in that very room.

Extremely sad story, even sadder than the shooting death of Darrent Williams last offseason.
However, if you want a weapon in your bedroom for home defense, do not make it a machete like Sean Taylor did. A .45 or a shotgun, along with the requisite training, practice and safety measures, is the way to go.
For a while, I did not even think it was life-threatening. Then I wake up the next day and read the truth. Dangit, dangit, dangit.
Kiwanuka's out for the season with a snapped fibula. This sucks for the Giants, but Torbor ain't bad and the regular and 3 DE fronts can work. I remember seeing him around on campus, standing off by himself and chilling with an Ipod. Then he'd get on the football field and wreak havoc. Hope he gets back full strength and raring to go.

Man, that Packers - Cowboys game was awesome, especially the first half. There have just been some great games this season, very exciting to be a football fan now.
A year ago the Cowboys were pathetic, now they're staring at possible home field advantage in the playoffs.

OK, I think I got it, but just in case, can you say the whole thing over again? I wasn't really listening.

I think you mean Green Bay; the Cowboys were in the playoffs and really had a chance to beat the Seahawks.
Green Bay has been winning in part because FARVE hasn't been gunning it as much. He's still throwing a bunch, but he's not taking as many risks as he took last year. Rodgers did very well for himself. Looks like he won't be traded or cut any time soon.

he had been in trouble with the law a while ago and was on probation for a while, he could have been restricted from purchasing a weapon, because he would have owned one, especially since his house was vandalized the week before

John Riggins on Redskins Report tonight was asked what he thought as a Kansas alumni of the Kansas/Missouri game last week and whether Missouri's tactics would work in the NFL:
"I dunno, I was hammered by halftime cuz things were looking bad for Kansas so me and my brother went to a bar"
-ch'arlz, "Come on, Sandy Baby, loosen up."

Hi!! Newbie here. Pleasantly surprised to find an American Football thread on this board.
The combo of Moss & Brady are hella good. Too dang scary for my tastes, 'cause I'm a Colts fan. Which means I am NOT happy! :folken:
I think the Pats should go for 16-0. They may decide to rest their starters once they get the #1 seed locked up, but I'd love to see an undefeated season!! Even if it is the stinkin' Pats. :heyhey:

I think the undefeated season is more important to the Patriots than a Super Bowl. I know I'd be pulling out all the stops to do it, if I were a player or coach.
Every year someone wins the Super Bowl, but there's only been one undefeated team in the modern era - and that was thirty years ago. The game has mutated and if the Patriots got it, they'd be pretty much reckoned the best team of all time (unless some other team does it down the line).

What a tribute to #21 Sean Taylor by his Redskins teammates who started their first play with just 10 men against the Bills. Class.
Talking of class #51 Lofa Tatupu for the Seahawks wishes we could play the Eagles every week, 11 tackles and 3 interceptions. Watch out Dallas & Green Bay the Seahawks are coming to get you

Oh please.
That 'defensive holding' call on 4th and 5 was complete BS.
As was that pass interference call.
Refs gave the game to the pats.

Well thats the thing, they were letting the pats play, but when the pats needed something, and didn't get it, suddenly there was a penalty on balt. Because nothing but cheating can stop the Pat's juggernaut, right?

True, but the long-term health of the team has to be taken into account too. Every snap is a chance somebody gets hurt, and if key players go down, you can kiss undefeated, the postseason, and maybe even next season goodbye. I don't envy the coach his choices here. If they play conservative now, there'll always be the nagging question if they could've went the distance. If they don't and go into postseason beat up, the fans'll be baying for blood in Foxboro.
Or they can gamble, go undefeated, enter postseason strong and Boston Common will be bulldozed to erect monuments to Belichick and Tom Brady....

Entirely on the cheap too. God bless Massholes.
(I'm referring to riots and the corrosive mass stupidity that happens for years in bars and in the media whenever a Boston sports team actually wins something. God, I miss that city.)

13 and 0 wouldn't it be ironic if you missed out on perfection by losing to a team like Miami who right now are on a perfect streak themselves 0 and 13
8 AFC teams currently have winning records just 6 in the NFC.Still if Indy can't manage to end the Pats run to the big game I hope my Seahawks are there to do the job.
