It seemed like it took the Pats about three quarters to figure out the Colts and then just tore them apart. Their D just shut Indianapolis down and that offense was just plain scary in how fast they scored. It was just a total shift of momentum.

I forget which of the halftime commentators called the Pat's D old and due for replacement, but it was great to see them perform so well in the second half for that reason alone.

And at the risk of being Johnny One-Note, how about my running back? No one I know (including myself) picked the Vikings to win. I figured Gates and LT would score a jillion points and their defense would be the toughest thing we've seen yet. Instead our D stifled all day long and our OL just did nothing but open giant holes in the second half. 235 yards rushing for Peterson in the 2nd half? I've never seen anything like that in my life, and I'm ancient!

The Pats finally shut down the Colts receivers (minus Harrison), but in doing so, they left Addai open a ridiculous amount of times. If Colvin doesn't pick off that pass, I think Addai would have been the game MVP. The NE linebackers just didn't have the speed to stay with him - in particular, Bruschi got pushed around and couldn't fight through blocks.

Those pass interference calls against New England were horse-pucky: Wayne actually tackled Hobbs/Samuel (whoever it was) to prevent an interception, Moss did not push off that play (although he often does on other plays) and Samuel got called for the most ticky-tacky thing I've seen in a while. On the flip side, a bunch of holding didn't get called on both sides.

It was an excellent game in every respect. I think Belichick and the team are very, very proud of going into RCA and coming out with a win. Welker is ridiculous on short passes and Moss made the best catch I've seen all of this NFL season. I'm talking about the one arm grab, which segued into a great dive to avoid the three tacklers about to hit him.

In other news, I have been proven right again and again: Adrian "Purple Jesus" Peterson is a ridiculous running back. I remember watching the NFL draft and saying to my friends, "This is nuts. He should have been off the board a while back. Whoever gets Peterson is getting a top three pick and he's going to be awesome. Screw the injury problems, the last one was just a collarbone."
I survived the Permian and all I got was this t-shirt.

He did.

I predict that even tho Pats are on a bye this week, somehow they will still beat somebody...
OK, I think I got it, but just in case, can you say the whole thing over again? I wasn't really listening.

Well, honestly the vikings looked absolutely shity.

The question is, was that the pack just being redonculous, or do the vikings just play that shitty? I would vote the second, mainly because their Coach is a fucktard.

I would say a little bit of both. Now that Brett has a running back they are only going to get better. The Vikings only had peterson all year. No real quaterback and no good recievers. The Pack game planed for Peterson perfectly.

- Oregon has now moved up to #2 we need Kansas to lose and for us to win out in order to go to the Championship game...:p
How many fucking people do I have to hammer in order to get that across.

If the Packers plan was to allow Peterson 5 yards a carry in the first half then they executed it perfectly ! The Vikes have no passing game whatsoever, Brooks Bollinger looks like a WEAK armed version of Chad Pennington with a bad shoulder, Peterson was the offense and once the Packers scored to open the 3rd quarter it was over.

Packers must use the rest of the season to establish a running game or it will be a short post season for them.

The Ravens are awful. I bet that the coaching staff is seriously considering hiking the ball directly to McGahee, Ray Lewis or a throwing machine programmed for a 12 yard slant.

That says it all right there - because he's the reason we have no QB or decent wide receivers.

Trade Kyle Boller straight up for Billy Volek, who has a solid record as a starter in the time Tennessee gave him before Vince(and Collins). Volek is an FA after this year if he doesn't work out(then you draft or go after McNabb) and is the better overall QB. Boller is an FA after this year as well, but we already know what he can accomplish and it isn't enough.

That will never happen, but it makes sense as the Chargers get a veteran with similar experience as a backup and the salaries are almost the same, and it gives Baltimore a QB that is better than Boller and hasn't had a chance to shine yet.

Or, sign me and I'll give them a Rich Gannon style west coast offense QB. :p

Well, yes, he is.... if you can't pick up random people off the waver wire that are better than the morons we have now.

I would think putting a call out for open tryouts in 2 weeks would be just fine. Probably get better people than the people they have now.

Culpepper is coming back this weekend. Maybe they can lure him away from Oakland.
