I just don't know if Moss is going to be that much of a factor. He always relied on his speed rather than good route running to get open, and I'm sure he's lost a step or two. He'll contribute, but I don't expect any breakout season. I've been wrong in the past though.

I agree, if the route is not meant for him don't expect a hard sell from Moss. I think we all agree he will be a solid contributor, if motivated, nothing more.

I know it's a yearly discussion, but honest to the gods, I hate the ESPN-ization of preseason. It's just beta testing for the coaches and a few chances for players to get hurt.

Pre Season does offer the chance for some guys to win jobs by playing in a game situation.

yeah
i can't really watch most preseason games for other teams. I don't mind seeing second and third stringers out there but I don't really have time to know who the second and third stringers are for the non-pats teams.

the exception to this is the giants third string qb - lorenzen? whatever the hell his name is, that dude is hilarious, and preseason is the only time he gets to play.

The Redskins demonstrated their work ethic by letting anyone who claimed "soreness" to sit out. This after multiple players were quoted in the papers about having to do two-a-days. Doesn't bode well...

well, considering its preseason, you want people to spend their time rehabilitating their muscles on the weekends so they are fresh during the week. its hell month and you dont want your players overextending themselves since playing means little and proper conditioning means everything

The Clots look like a team in trouble right now ..... first they lose LT Tarik Glenn to retirement and now DT Mcfarland is out with injury.

They probably have a good replacement for Glenn and somewhat serviceable DTs can be scooped off the street or traded for with draft picks. Either that or Peyton will just not nimble-feet to his right all that often.

Anyone see the constant replays of his always-moving feet during last year's playoffs? Genuine hilarity.

glenn is a big loss, but mcfarland isnt. The Colts survived without any run defense the whole year. As long as Bob Sanders stays healthy and the offense is close to consistent, they will make the playoffs.

Got to pull you up about your first comments ..... Mcfarland's game came on strong late in the season and after giving up a league worst 173 ypg on the ground & 22.5 ppg in the regular season the defense allowed only 82.8 rushing yards & 16.3 pts per game in playoffs

They wil still make the playoffs as Jacksonville have problems at the QB & WR spots, Titans will regress and Texans are not ready.

Notice that Bob Sanders came back at the same time their run defense shored up. McFarland was there a few weeks already. McFarland's biggest value is the fact that he was brought up in the system in Tampa. He's a good DT, but not a great one, meaning he is replaceable. Also, the running game is only really a Colt killer when your defense can shut down Manning(he damn near scores at will quickly through the air when he needs to), and there aren't very many run oriented AFC teams with defenses good enough to stop Manning from scoring all together. Baltimore and San Diego are pretty much it.

I have spent just about my entire life looking at and dealing with women and I can tell you unequivocally that most professional cheerleaders are ugly.

What ends up being the prime selection traits are 1) an ability to stick to a near-anorectic weight, 2) fake tits 3) dance ability 4) a nice big set of veneers. Attractiveness is something like number 10 on the priority list - actually, many seem to be selected for features that look good from farther away. This whole thing leads to quasi-transsexuals and butterfaces dominating pro cheerleading; NBA teams are especially guilty of this.

That being said, the Philadelphia Eagles cheerleaders are banging.

even the lesbo-panther cheerleaders that got fired for having sex in a bathroom at a club weren't very attractive.. one had a bigger nose than sarah jessica parker if i remember correctly
